First Spirit Ring

A month has passed since last time, I haven't progressed much in the areas I usually improve but most importantly I improved in my swordsmanship and agility. I think at this point I could actually use a sword in a fight, unlike before.

Every time I swing Caliburn it feels like I'm getting more refined and precise with my movements, I can't really use sword intent yet, and in fact I'm quite far from it I definitely made substantial progress towards that.

My agility increase I think can be mostly attributed to my martial souls, if I had to grade them I guess my Ice Brush would be Control System, Water Pen would be Control-Assault System, Spirit Eyes would be control System, and Caliburn would be Agility-Assault System.

So as a whole it could be said I'm a soul master with Agility-Control-Assault System. Enough of my martial souls, let's get on to what I actually did this month.

Well it was nothing special, I trained in mecha designing, sword fighting, and the congenital method, but with a bit of a twist. My teacher started to teach me how to do the congenital method alone, that was what mostly happened.

The reason for that is that he is gone. For now that is, so he made sure to teach me things to do in his absence. He left a lot of spirit items and gave me free access to the cultivation room I cultivated so far at. In fact I'm in that cultivation room at this moment.

This is the first day of his absence, and since I was already stuck at rank 10 for a month, It's about time I get a soul ring. The martial soul I'm getting it for is obviously Caliburn, the martial soul I connected my bloodline with.

I will use some rare items that my teacher left that are good for cultivating blood essence to help me with getting my soul ring and finally start cultivating for real. I should start making a medicinal bath with them.

After 30 minutes everything was done, I stripped myself, took a deep breath and entered the bath. Everything inside there was quite potent especially for someone of my cultivation rank. It was the first time I felt like that, it wasn't exactly painful more like intense. It made my body hot and blood boil.

I quickly started circulating my soul power and greedily absorb all the energy and medical effects in the bath. Next up I stimulated my bloodline, I felt like my circulation and absorption fastened, I even started to absorb the energy outside of the bath, and it only speed up from there on.

Soon enough there started to appear a faint projection of a soul ring, but it looked like an empty husk. As the water in the bath dwindled and energy gathered from the atmosphere, it gradually started to fill up with a yellow light. From myself there started to be going soul power fluctuations .

When there was no liquid left in the bath and the soul ring was fully filled up, a stronger than other ones, came a last burst of soul power and everything finally stopped.

I ignored the messages, got out from the bath and summoned my Caliburn martial soul. Sure enough around my waist there was a yellow soul ring floating and spinning slowly, I couldn't wait to try it out but decided to dress up first.

'Now that I look at myself I seem to have changed a bit after this' That was indeed the case, the skin actually got whiter, softer and smoother, my hair also looks a lot more healthy and is a bit longer, it seemed that my body is bursting with a lot more power than ever before. Even my nonexistent muscles seemed to become firmer.

"That can't be it will threaten my look!" I panicked for a second but quickly shot those thoughts away.

"I still have something to do here"

I summon Caliburn again.

'Taking a bit of a closer look now, it seems to have changed a bit as well'

It wasn't anything grand It just got sharper and sturdier, but the change was definitely there.

"I should try it out now"

I ready myself and make a slash with my sword while also activating my soul ring, it lit up for a split second. My Caliburn started shining with a golden light and immediately after an explosion of an element came out of it.

"Hmm?"

I did a few more tries after that with different forms slashed and even stabbing with it, every single time there was relatively small elemental explosion that manifested itself as a golden light. It seems my first soul ring ability is exactly that an elemental explosion, I even did that without doing any movement but the explosion came out of all sides in that case.

I can't exactly call that element a light one, I think something like Holy element should be the most accurate description for it. Depending on how I use it, it could be quite useful in battles I'm quite satisfied with it.

Most importantly now that I have made quite a significant breakthrough, I should digest this information before continuing on with my cultivation tomorrow. Thinking so I go into meditation.

While cultivating time slowly passed, soon enough after I got my first soul ring I finally got my hands on a 10k year old ice silkworm. I spent most of my time training, I broke through to 4th rank in mecha designing, and started my journey with mecha making, it was quite hard but also good training in precise control of soul power and spiritual power.

I also got a first soul ring for my Ice Brush it took a while to find a suitable one for me but I finally got it. After I got my soul ring for the ice brush I started learning in more detail about elemental control, because of this and my spirit eyes my spiritual power was improving at a fast pace.

I even broke through to spirit connection realm. My schedule was completely packed I had to cultivate the congenital method, spiritual power, soul power, hone my swordsmanship, practice with my martial souls, practice control with elements. But it all was paying off.

By the time I reached 8 years old I pretty much finished the first step of the congenital method, now I had to focus on my blood essence to finally later on have a blood essence core. I reached rank 3 in mecha making, and my soul rank reached 20 with a compression of nearly 4.

My spiritual power reached 250 in spirit connection realm, honestly the ice phoenix empress bloodline and spirit eyes are great for this. I completely mastered what I currently bought from the system about swordsmanship, and I even have a rough grasp of sword intent though I cannot really use it yet.

The only thing I'm currently lagging behind on is my water pen martial soul, but there is no rush it can wait, at the very least I still practice with water element while using it.

And now I'm 9 much hasn't happened, I reached rank 23 got the second soul ring for spirit eyes, Caliburn, and ice brush. I reached 4th rank for mecha making as well, now I just occasionally practice in both so I won't lag behind.

My soul rings for Ice Brush are yellow and purple, for spirit eyes both are black and from an Ice silkworm, for Caliburn both are Yellow but the first one aged a bit so they are both about 800 years old.

Right now I'm preparing for something honestly it's time to do something more, while I have here plenty of resources and a safe cultivation space it's time to seek out more.

[Honestly I had to do this time skip, I can't have you guys read like 20 chapters or more of staying in the sect nor do I want to write them. I think that the progression I written here is quite realistic for someone with four martial souls, and such a big spiritual power should be quite normal considering mc has spirit eyes with two 10k year old mental type spirit rings, the cultivation speed will slow down now.
