Sudden Incident

Just as Chen Mo was about to speak, he saw Lin Chao walking out of the hospital at a leisurely pace.

"You're watching her too closely! Can't you give Xia Wan some personal space?" Lin Chao teased, "If she really had some special mission, wouldn't you have exposed it by now?"

Chen Mo glanced sideways at Lin Chao: "What special mission could Xia Wan, a student, have?"

"Don't listen to his nonsense!" Xia Wan glanced at Lin Chao and opened the car door, signaling Chen Mo to get in.

"What's so urgent that you came to find me?" Xia Wan leaned back in her seat and slowly closed her eyes.

The recent events had been overwhelming, and she could only really rest when she was with Chen Mo.

"You're taking a break from school?" Chen Mo asked, concerned, looking at Xia Wan.

"It's nothing serious. Studying at home is better to avoid unnecessary distractions, right?" Xia Wan said indifferently.

"But…" Chen Mo was still worried.
