Epilogue — Nineteen Years Later

Editor: Atlas Studios

"Because of the ministers' ineptitude, the infamous Dark Lord Grindelwald was able to recruit believers into the wizarding world in an attempt to start a war between magic and the real world…"

Early in the morning in London, Ivan was holding a beautiful blonde witch in his arms and telling her stories of the past.

"And then, and then! Papa, you must have stopped him, didn't you?" the little witch asked eagerly, her round eyes full of anticipation and admiration.

"Well, well…" Yvonne deliberately dragged out the word, waiting for the little witch to get impatient before rubbing her head and teasing her. "If you're not a picky eater in the morning, little Emma, I'll tell you what happened next!"

Emma pouted unhappily, and the wizard, who seemed to be slightly older than her, couldn't help but comment.

"I know this. Later, Dad fought Grindelwald one-on-one in the French Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries, killing the Dark Lord and defusing an impending war!"

"Lane, spoilers are bad habits…" Ivan said, flicking Ryan's forehead. He had finally found a way to change his daughter's habit of being picky, and it had been ruined.

Little Emma opened her mouth to say something, but then she saw her mother Hermione coming out of the kitchen with a plate in her hands. Hermione's eyes darted around, and her words changed.

"Do you know where Mom was at the time? Len? She must have been fighting alongside Dad, right?"

"How is that possible? I heard that Mom was still at Hogwarts at the time, and she wasn't as strong as Dad, so she couldn't have been of much help…" Ryan pursed his lips and said casually. As soon as he finished speaking, he felt an inexplicable chill run down his spine.

Shaking, Len turned to find his mother Hermione standing behind him, staring at him with a half-smile.

Knowing that he had fallen into Emma's trap, Len glared angrily at his sister. Unfortunately, his Petrified Eye had been sealed by Ivan long ago, as it would occasionally go out of control.

Undaunted by her brother's anger, she made a face at him, then hid in Ivan's arms and giggled…

"That's where you're wrong, Len. I was only able to defeat Grindelwald because of your mother's help!" Ivan broke off the siblings' banter with a laugh, then proceeded to recount the events of the war to the curious faces of the twins.

"In the duel nineteen years ago, Grindelwald and I were neck-and-neck, with Grindelwald having the geographical advantage and the ability to channel the magic of the entire Ministry of Magic. If I hadn't taken the Felix Felicis in advance and had not been protected by your mother's pendant, the outcome would have been uncertain…"

After hearing Ivan's story, Emma and Len finally understood how dangerous the duel had been. Even someone as strong as their father had to rely on the protection provided by the crescent moon pendant to barely win.

"I think Dad is the best. Grindelwald was over a hundred years old, ten times older than Dad, but he still lost. Dad would have beaten him easily!" Emma said admiringly.

"You're so sweet! But you're not wrong…" Ivan placed his finger affectionately on little Emma's forehead. Three years ago, he had broken through to the ninth level of magic, almost to the point of being able to do whatever he wanted. Defeating Grindelwald at that time had been easy.

Hermione's lips curled into a smile as memories of the past returned to her. She placed a plate of mashed potatoes on the table and playfully pinched him on the cheek. "Did you hear that, Len? Who said I couldn't help?"

While they were talking, Ivan's face suddenly changed and a loud explosion sounded.

The crowd was shocked, but did not react, as little Emma, who was hiding in Ivan's arms, muttered, "It must be Sister who blew up the practice room!"

Hermione had obviously guessed that her eldest daughter was behind this, and the veins on her forehead bulged as she hurried to the practice room, shouting, "L-L-Lannie! Get out here right now!"

"Looks like my sister's in for it!" Emma lamented with false emotion.

Yvonne rubbed her daughter's head. Such schadenfreude…

"Mom, you too. How could you give such a dangerous explosive spell to Leilani?" Ivan turned to look at Alicia, who was cutting a steak.

With the help of the Elixir of Immortality, even after nineteen years, Alicia's appearance remained the same. In fact, she looked younger than ever.

Ivan and Hermione, naturally, took the potion early, and their physical age was permanently fixed at eighteen…which resulted in Hermione and their oldest daughter, Leilani, standing together more like sisters than mothers and daughters.

"It's rare for Leilani to have this gift, and it's not a good idea to let it go to waste. After all, with blood magic, no fire or explosion can harm her, right?" Alicia slowly placed a piece of steak in her mouth and continued with a smile. "As I recall, you were even younger than her when you first learned these spells!"

"How is that the same?" Ivan asked, shaking his head. He may have been eleven or twelve years old when he mastered dangerous magic and killed his way through Knockturn Alley, but he was very old at heart.

"Different how?" Alicia asked in amazement.

Ivan could not claim to be a time-traveler, so he replied with a sigh, "I'm the most brilliant genius in the history of the wizarding world. I can easily master all kinds of magic. It's impossible for me to lose control…"

Len and Emma looked at each other and rolled their eyes. For once, they were in agreement. Their father was boasting again.

Alicia was also extremely speechless, but she could not retort, because Ivan was telling the truth. All these years, she had been proud and confused that she could give birth to such a monstrous talent…

(PS: I didn't expect to receive such a huge reward at the end of the book. I'm so touched. However, this book will officially end tomorrow, so I can't add more chapters. Let's write a few extra chapters as a thank you. The angel also wants to thank you for your great subscriptions, monthly votes, and recommendation votes.
