What Kind of Magic Is This?

Editor: Atlas Studios

That was five hundred Galleons… not a small sum!

It was a pity, Ivan thought, that old Rosier was so tactless. If he had begged him to accept the tribute, would he have refused?

Doggett did not understand Ivan's thoughts, nor did he think much of the five hundred Galleons.

"Old Rosier's information should be accurate. When do you plan to attack the Wizarding Market? Do you need me to inform Fran and the others about this now?"

"No, don't! The fewer people who know about this, the better!" Yvonne shook her head, dismissing Dougett's suggestion.

Although he had been intimidating and kind to the thirty or so wizards for the past two days, he had only been in contact with them for a short period of time. There was no guarantee that there would not be a spy among them.

Therefore, he thought that it would be enough for just the three of them to know, as they would need to block the entrance and secret passage in three teams tomorrow.

As for the other members, it would not be too late to give them ten minutes to explain before the battle…

"Is that so?" It didn't take Dougett long to figure out what he meant. It was better to be safe than sorry.

Ivan asked Dougut to call for Alicia, and she gave him a map of the Chamber of Secrets. After she explained what had happened, the three of them discussed how to attack the Wizarding Market the next day, as well as their areas of responsibility.

Now that the opportunity has presented itself, no one wants it to go to waste by making a mistake that can be avoided…

The day passed in the blink of an eye.

At noon the next day, Ivan issued the emergency assembly order at 2:30.

All members were required to be present within thirty seconds of an emergency order being issued, and Ivan kept an eye on the clock to see how many people would break the order today.

Seven seconds later, the first figure appeared a short distance ahead.

To Ivan's surprise, the first to arrive was Joseph, who was the latest to return. It seemed that he had learned his lesson.

Three seconds later, Warren, Walker, and the other werewolf wizards were all there, and every other second, more figures would appear.

It wasn't until the thirtieth second, when the last to arrive, Grace, arrived at the scene on the dot, looking disheveled, her hair in a mess, and her makeup on.

Yvonne wondered if she had been asleep until this hour…

In the face of Ivan's intense stare, Grace flinched like a frightened animal, unsure if she was actually late.

Fortunately, Ivan's gaze did not linger on her for long, and he quickly turned his attention to the other wizards present.

"Not bad, you came at the right time today… you didn't disappoint me!" Ivan said with satisfaction as he looked around.

He thought that basic training like this would require several sessions to teach these wizards the importance of punctuality, but they were more obedient than he had expected.

The assembled wizards were secretly relieved to hear this.

They did not want to try Ivan's idea of harsh punishment, so they slept in their uniforms for the next few days so that they could arrive as soon as they were notified.

"Sir Harls, is there something urgent that you summoned us with an emergency order?" Fren asked.

Yvonne nodded and spoke.

"I have received information that at three o'clock this afternoon, the Noether family will hold a meeting in the Chamber of Secrets in the Wizarding Market, in which the heads of the pure-blood families will be present. Your task will be to capture or kill all of them…"

Flan and the others were amazed, and wondered where Ivan got his information on such an important matter. It was almost impossible for something like a secret meeting to get out.

They were more worried about the Norts deliberately releasing this information, as the Wizarding Market had a secret underground chamber that they had attacked before.

"The Rosier family, one of the six pure-bloods, has defected to us, handed over the map, and made a magical pact. There is no possibility of failure this time!" Ivan could see their concern, and threw out another piece of information.

At this point, he had nothing to hide. Even if there were spies among the wizards present, they would not have the opportunity to report it under everyone's supervision.

And there was another meaning to saying it now, to prevent collateral damage and to prevent old Rosier's unfortunate demise at the hands of his own people.

"The Rosier family has surrendered?"

When Joseph, Grace, and the others heard the news, they could not believe it. The battle had not even begun, but one of the other party's leaders had surrendered and become one of them. Wouldn't they win?

With Ivan's nod of confirmation, the crowd's morale soared, and they clamoured to storm the Wizarding Market and capture old Nort…

Ivan, however, did not let his guard down. His goal this time was not just to win, but to ensure that no one died!

After all, a person's pension was three hundred Galleons, which was unacceptable to Ivan, who had just lost five hundred Galleons!

Thus, for the next twenty minutes or so, Ivan patiently explained the layout of the Underground Chamber to them, in case they fell for the traps.

"If you need to split up and search for a target, no fewer than three people per group, and you need to make sure you're in each other's backs, understood?" Ivan said emphatically.

All the wizards present nodded, touched by the gesture.

Although the young wizard in front of him was brutal and harsh, he was still very concerned about their lives, as evidenced by the fact that he raised his pension yesterday and held the funeral himself.

After arranging everything and saying everything that needed to be said, Ivan did not hesitate any longer. He split the wizards into three teams and sent them to the entrances and exits of the Wizard Market.

Upon receiving the order, the wizards all used Apparition, and one by one, they disappeared as they had come.

Ivan was the last to move his wand, and in a flash of light, he landed on a raised platform, along with the thirteen wizards and witches who had been guarding the other two exits.

"Sir Harls, the Wizarding Market is just ahead, and their Chamber of Secrets is built underground…" Flan pointed ahead.

Yvonne turned to look, somewhat wistfully.

He and Doggett visited the wizarding market two years ago, when it was as busy as a large market.

However, the place had changed. It was very deserted and there were not many people around. Only four law-enforcers were still on duty at the entrance.

"We'll move in at ten minutes past three!" Ivan called out as he pulled a stopwatch out of his wizard's robes and checked the time. It was already two-fifty, and considering the possibility of tardiness, he had delayed his move.

Flan and the others were also clutching their wands, ready to act at a moment's notice.

The wait was not too long, and Ivan saw a well-dressed middle-aged wizard enter the Wizarding Market with his men.

This undoubtedly supported the claims of the elder Rosier.

Ivan waited for a while longer, and when he was sure that no one would return for a while, he pointed his wand at the Enforcers from the Wizarding Market.

"Confringo (boom)!"

After a few seconds of preparation, Ivan chanted an incantation, and the tip of his wand gradually ignited into a hot flame, which then rapidly expanded against the wind and crashed towards the Wizarding Market.
