First Breakfast

Aláine's Point of View

Since Kristof and I had woken up early, it was just the three of us, including Axel. Kristof pulled the chair out for me and then fed Axel first.

"Bacon and eggs?" he asked.

"Yes, thank you," I replied,

"I usually don't eat before taking him for a run, but I guess he won't be running for a while."

I was melancholy thinking about Axel, but at least he was alive and there was a good chance he would probably recover to his usual self. I turned my attention to Kristof as he cooked our breakfast. He seemed very at home in the kitchen, which was a major turn-on for me. A man who would cook for you was a keeper. I remembered my mother saying that about my dad.

While we were eating, Kristof sat close to me and kept eye contact with me as much as possible while still asking me questions about my degree and the languages I spoke. I felt like I was the centre of attention, and it was a peculiar feeling for me.

"You are spoiling me so much. "
