"Teacher just left like that?" Nina came downstairs and widened her eyes in surprise when she heard Maurice had already left. She then complained a bit, "Uncle, why didn't you ask him to stay? Letting the teacher leave in such terrible weather..."
"It'll be dark if he leaves any later," Duncan turned to lock the front door, then said casually as he walked towards the stairs, "He came by car; a bit of rain won't have much of an impact."
"But the teacher looked like he wasn't feeling well," Nina followed, muttering as she climbed the stairs, "He should have rested a bit more..."
Duncan thought for a moment, pondering that if the old man really had rested here a while longer, it might not be just a mere case of feeling unwell. He might have ended up with a ten-fold willpower check failure. Not to mention seeing tomorrow's Sun, he might not even lay eyes on tonight's Creation of the World...
