Chapter 77 Reflections on Fire

The explosion resounded through the basement, and a blazing fireball suddenly flew past from the side—but before the fireball got close, Duncan had already reacted.

His perception was far faster than his body, and he sensed something amiss the moment the abnormal energy appeared in the basement. Without hesitation, he instinctively raised his hand to block!

A bit of scorching heat transmitted from his fingertips, but the next second, the bursting Spiritual Fire retaliated with a counter-ignition force, engulfing the fireball that had been shot from a corner of the basement. Duncan grasped the fiery mass out of thin air, which was almost immediately tinged with ghostly green, and the exploding energy instantly tamed, starting to burn quietly in his hand.

Now holding the fireball, which had turned into ghostly green Spiritual Fire, Duncan slowly turned his head toward where the attack had come from.
