As Son of Heaven was lost in thought, he heard a loud roar from outside.

This familiar, rough voice could only come from Jack, but it seemed to be much farther away than expected.

Son of Heaven instinctively looked back, and noticed that the group of people, who were originally standing just in front of the Fool's Boundary, had been thrown out and were now blocked by the octopuses, with Jack among them.

Of the original 400 or so people, only about a dozen remained. They were under constant attack by the octopuses, being entwined and tossed out, landing accurately outside the surround.

This degree of precision could not be achieved by the octopuses alone. The only possible explanation was that the Ghost Captain was controlling them.

That meant he had been controlling the octopuses outside while also fighting with him...
