CHAPTER 22: MEETING

When they returned to the dorm together, Damion couldn't help but look at Elyze because her face was so serious. No one wanted to speak or break the silence. However, as they entered their dorms, they stopped walking when they saw Alexandra holding a white fennec fox, which caused them to become confused. Next to her was Rohan, who was occupied with his phone as if he were in his own world.

due to this, damion let out a sigh and asked Alexandra, "where did you get that fox?"

when Alexandra notice him, she just smile brightly, "It was rohan's, isn't he cute?!" she said happily while hugging darius tightly, but rather than feeling upset, darius ears was down, indicating that he feels happy and comfortable with it, and as soon as rohan stop from fiddling his phone, he look at him awkwardly. for rohan, seeing darius smiling like idiot makes him felt an embarrassment, so he just carried darius with him, that makes alexandra's expression turns into sad one.

"you will going to take him?" she asked in pitiful way. However, rohan was not the kind of guy who had a soft spot when it came to girls and other people. In his eyes, she appeared to be a wet puppy left on the street after being abandoned by its family and on the verge of dying.

".. Yes I will, he might die if you keep suffocating him by your hugs and furthermore.." rohan look down to her neck with his poker face and pointed her bulky breast as if like there's nothing wrong with it.

"that yours is too big, he really might die."

"is that even a compliment or not?"

"even so, I will have to take him."

"come on~"

meanwhile, seeing them fighting like a child as though they were just having a 'girls small talk', damion and elyze couldn't comprehend about their conversation at all, but her gaze landed on the fox, for some unknown reason, she felt as if there's something more with him, it makes her feel uneasy.

however, before her curiosity take over her, she decided to remain poker face and pretend as if like she doesn't care anything at all, 'I have a bad feeling about that fox, although it looks like an ordinary animal, who knows, it might be a well-trained fox from an enemy that I don't know of, when it comes to intuition, there's no way I would be wrong.. but first..' after taking five steps upstairs, she halted again, put her hand on her back, glanced at Rohan, and gestured with her finger by wrapping her index finger around her pointing finger. When Rohan noticed this signal, her expression turned serious and he nodded slightly in her direction.

On the one hand, when elyze got her response, she mouthed something to the others that they couldn't see—"12:00 midnight"—then turned around and started walking again.

'then, I will go now.'

'wait rohan?! where are you going?! atleast leave darius to me~'

'I told you Alexandra, she would die if he's with you.'

'Seriously! you're so harsh! it's not like I'm going to kill him! let me borrow darius a little while pretty pleasee~'

'Damion! take her in! she's bothering me again!'

'fucking hell.. this bunch of kids.. sigh.'

However, while Alexandra and rohan are having a child fight over one fox, at elyze direction, her eyes widened when she saw Chauncey leaning against the glass terrace and giving her a solemn look, elyze heart skipped a beat, she then collected herself and put on her poker face once more.

"What are you doing there?" she asked to Chauncey casually, so Chauncey just shrugged his shoulder and spread his hands.

"Nothing.. it's just that.. overlooking the whole living room from the terrace is one of my hobby, it helps me.. observe everything." Even when Chauncey gives her a joking smile and speaks to her informally, there is a secret message underlying every word that comes out of his mouth. Elyze is able to discern what is he intending to say. 'he's clearly threatening me.' that's what elyze thought, but rather than getting provoke by him, she just keep giving her a smile.

"I see.. so you're an observant, huh? if that's the case.. then you should probably know that.. being observant can cause some death too." and of course, there's no way elyze wouldn't yield in at him, although she's smiling right now, for the eyes of phantom's knight members, it is threat.

then again, Chauncey's face turns into serious and replied, " Sounds like you threatening me."

"that must be just your imagination, there's no way I would threatened someone who's much more powerful than me." she replied meaningfully as she bow to him politely and keep walking once again.

"I'm not sure what sort of nefarious scheme you have in mind, but let me give you a word of advice. You had better keep Damion from discovering what it was."

hearing his words, she slightly turn back and replied meaningfully "..I will heed your warning."

Since she had a lot to do in the next days, including carrying out the queen's instructions, which will take place tomorrow during the banquet, elyze couldn't help but sigh deeply and massage her temples out of exhaustion as she walked through the hallways. In addition to the enigmatic members of the group known as the revolutionaries, she also has to learn more about the inner members of the Black Butterfly Organization, simply knowing their codenames isn't sufficient for her at this moment. the student council election that will take place the following week are one of the things to be prepared of as well, obviously, who wouldn't be feel stress about it?

but even so, she can't just give up everything and relax, she already went this far and the black butterfly organization is just within her grasp. which is why she can't give up here.

"sigh. I have to rest first." she said inwardly and keep walking, however, after a few more walks, When she heard a familiar piece of music coming from the music room, Elyze was about to return to her room when she couldn't help but glance toward the end of the hallways. So, she quickly rushed there and started opening the double door then she saw Devian on the centre point playing a piano as the wind blew off some strands of his black silk hair with a slight smile on his reddish lips, the way how he touch the keyboard was as calm as the rain when it subsides, the way how he move his finger was similar to the swiftness of that wind, and most of all, his elegance and beauty was reflecting by the sunset as though he was the prince of the morning star.

seeing this scene, elyze just gasp while there's a hint of astonishment all over her face, 'I know that devian is really good in everything especially when it comes to music since that was one of his favorite hobby but..' she close her eyes and feel the music, until, she smile inwardly and thought to herself again, 'who would have thought that he would be this good.'

as devian press the last keynote, elyze enter inside of the music room, Red bean bags line the sides, and the walls are vanilla gold with music-themed embellishments. In the centre, there are three musical instruments and a podium, including a piano on the right side, a silver harp on the left, and a flute on a music stand in the center.

There are a few guitars and violins hanging on the walls, five big windows with one balcony in the central portion, and some bookcases in the corner. a tiny cabinet, a counter, a phony imitation of a painting by Leonardo da Vinci, and any other items visible in the music room.

meanwhile, devian just gasp as soon as he saw elyze approaching her, so he greeted elyze formally before avoiding his gaze with a slight blush on his face. when elyze saw this, she couldn't help but to laugh silently and walk towards him.

".. it seems like you're done playing some piano, huh?"

"forgive my ignorance, I'm so focus on playing that I didn't realized that you came here, my lady." devian replied formally while trying to avoid their topic, but this didn't fool elyze at all. it is clearly obvious that he was still affected to the fight they had earlier, and the way how he speak with her so formally proves that.

so, elyze let out a long sigh, as she gives Devian a head pat that causes her to gasp and smiles at him; a smile that can calm someone else's heart and lessen their rage. Even though it's only a simple smile, Devian values it above everything else. Ever since elyze parents were killed in the tragedy, he hardly ever sees his master smile in front of the crowds. Devian couldn't blame him because he knows that it was all his fault for stripping her of her freedom; nonetheless, his smile is always expressionless, lifeless, and colorless, as if like a person who loses hope for the world.

so devian avoided his gaze again and whispered, "what are you doing..? aren't you just mad at me earlier? you even said that I disappoint you.."

when elyze saw her reaction, she smile once again and this time, she hold his cheeks and approach his face closely, "..but that doesn't mean that I'm angry at you.. you're the only person I have on my side after all."

hearing this words, devian just fell speechless while gazing at elyze. one minute, two minutes, three minutes until five minutes have passed, he couldn't help but to lean on the chairs and glance above the ceiling while his cheeks was flushing like a child. when he close his eyes and opened it, he stare at elyze with a fondness on his eyes.

"seriously my lady.. you truly never surprise me.. if you keep doing that, I might eat you so early."

"then.. I'll kill you first if that happens." she simply replied before step back, devian just laugh as he grabbed elyze hands and caresses it on his cheeks, he look at him again, but this time, he already have a tender smile on his face before kissed her palm.

"thank you so much, my lady." elyze gasp to him before diverted her gaze, his eyes suddenly widened when she felt a cold sensation coming from her palm and when she look at him, he saw devian, biting her palm and sucking her blood, so she bit her lips out of surprises. "darn you.. I didn't even give you a p-permission.."

Demons, not only they eat human soul, they also drink human blood as well, especially to devian who have the blood of a vampire. Furthermore, since devian have a huge power unlike the other demons out there, Without a blood, he might become weak. Of course, this could also apply to other demons who's same as him.

so he replied at him with a smirk, "consider this as my payment, You actually irritated me earlier you know." he give elyze a cold look, but at the same time, there's a hint of affection behind on it as he added seriously, " I don't want to disappoint you, my lady, so please do not say that to me again."

elyze slightly blush when he heard his words, so he also diverted her gaze to the ceiling and replied, ".. doesn't matter, just make it faster before someone sees us."

when devian heard her response, he laugh quietly as he grabbed her waist causes elyze gasp in surprise, especially when devian hug her tightly, she felt some warmth coming from him as though he was embracing by the sun, so rather than pushing him away, elyze just let him hug her as he caressed his hair and smile.

'as long as the contract is in effect, I wouldn't mind.. doing this.'

however, while they were busy making up to each other, they didn't know that someone was watching them from the very start, at the balcony of music room, you will see a white fennec fox, which was darius, sitting on the terrace while observing the two of them, he lick his paws before stand up and jump down from the second floor, when he check that there are no people around him that's when he turned into a young handsome man as he took out his black fan and cover his smirking face.

"that's quite a revelation that I had found. that familiar presence and that smug expression of his.. does that girl beside her knows what kind of dangerous existence did she brought upon this world..? nevertheless, should I tell this to rohan?"

darius just keep on talking his self while holding his chin, short after, he glance at the sunset as the whole sky turns into nightfall, so darius just smile and turned into a fox again as he decided to go back at rohan's direction, before that, he whispered something, "Perhaps I should do that."

when the surroundings turns into nightfall, you will see rohan in his room, lying on the bed while playing his favorite games in Psp. as soon as you enter on his dorm, you would immediately notice it's futuristic themes, the walls are concrete white as well as the ceilings that have a violet neon lights, an aircons and there's a small hallway from the door heading to living room where you will see a red sofa, a glowing round table and a television with mini bookshelves place infront. the television was surrounded by a fish aquarium with violet neon lights as well as the side floors which make living room look dim and elegant, then at the side, there's a sliding door that leads to the bedroom.

the style of his bedroom was circle, but this time, the lights on the ceiling was neon white, there are four doors in total, one is for the balcony, there's also three windows, next one is a mini-kitchen where there's a mini fridge, two dining chair with round table, a bar counter and wine cabinets. the third one is a spacious bathroom and then there's another door inside on it that connects to his walk in closet room.

and when you enter in the third door, you will only see a table and a swivel chair, with tall windows behind on it, some modern paintings hanging on the walls and bookshelves. on the side, there's a hidden button that leads on his hidden room that once you open it, there's an elevator awaits you. and when you press the no.1 button, it will leads you to the ground floor where you can see a door that had a passcode and face recognition attached in it.

and once you enter to that door, you will see six large three-dimensional screen with a mysterious black cat logo in the center and one swivel chair, there's also a holographic keyboard in the middle. the black cat logos wears a top hat and there's a scratch on it's right eyes while biting a black baccara rose. there are logos on the walls as well which is similar to the screen. the edge of the ceiling is filled with white neon lights, and there's a small futuristic table at the center, that when you press some button beneath it, another three-dimensional images that illustrate the whole P.N academy will appears and then a white sofa and a purple carpet with different patterns engrave on it.

aside from that, there are mini bookshelves as well as bookcases and a cabinet. a shelves where there are different CDs and Psp games neatly arrange and a bulletin board where the codenames of the inner members of black butterfly organization was pinned.

aside to computers, there are different gadgets or devices place on the shelves at the top of mini bookcases such as Ipad, phones, Imac and others as well as the latest Ps8 that just launched two months ago.

going back to rohan, you will still see him on his circle bed lying lazily while playing his favorite video games while eating some chips and drinking some soft drinks when he stop playing as soon as he saw darius enter inside of his room, climbing up in his balcony so he look at him with frowned before standing up and open the door of balcony for him.

"the hell did you ought to? you immediately run out earlier as soon as elyze came upstairs. " he asked.

"that's because I sense something off to her." as he turned into human form as if nothing happened and jump to rohan's bed, and leaned there.

"something off to her? well, you're right about that.. she's actually my cousin, but she told us to keep it secret from the others, she must be planning something big in this academy." when darius heard what he says, a small smirk curve on his lips and replied,

"then.. would you like me to tell what I found about her earlier?"

rohan squinted his eyes, "if there is a payment, then no. if there's none, then why not?"

hearing his words, darius pouted and pointed him, "Just who do you think of me? an obsessive demon who only knows how to went berserk and take innocent lives of the people?! I'm not the sins of pride, I'm the sins of greed, a greed!" he started to throw some tantrums so rohan just sigh.

"damn, seeing him like that makes me feel tired and sleep all day."

darius just crossed his arms, " tsh. rest assured, it's free this time, but next time, there will be a payment."

he lie on the bed once again below darius and said, "Spit it out."

"your cousin was also an eve like you." his eyes widened as a huge silence re-engulfed to them, due to this, rohan stop playing his psp, when darius perceive his reaction he just keep talking again,

"and it's no ordinary one, I happens to saw them earlier, and when I notice your cousin's expression looking with his 'servant' with fondness while sucking her blood, I almost lose some control.. the smell of her blood is very alluring, her soul that similar to that roses, and her majestic aura that can make even the demons itself shudders in fear. her 'servant' did really a good job to develop her into a fine feast that every demons dying to eat, ah, imagining her lying on my dinner table, makes me wanted to eat her that eveeenn~ my eyes had turned into red."

right about now, you will notice his sarcasm in every words that coming out from his mouth— which he purposely do it to observe what would be rohan's reaction.. but actually, deep inside, he really doesn't care about elyze alluring smell at all even if it is the finest meal he have ever seen. lots of demons may be trying to took her away, but for darius, elyze soul didn't even passed to his taste. there's only one soul that he wants, and that is rohan's, he already decided that he will polish his soul into the most finest and delicious meal that every demons

dying to eat, enough to surpassed elyze and any other rare souls out there.

"I wonder how would she taste look like~" this time, darius smirk especially when rohan pushed him to the bed and put his elbow on darius neck, rohan was sitting on his top and you will see his purple eyes glaring at him coldly which found darius rather interesting.

"that's quite a reaction I had anticipated, do you really care to your cousin so much?" he asked while grinning at him, a few minutes of silence when he saw rohan smirk to him as well and place his hands onto his chest that makes darius gasp.

"no.. I do care to you rather than crystalle, I mean.. if the 'servant' you were talking about is the same person I'm thinking of, then you probably dead for fantasizing his eve, besides.."

"... don't live up to your title as the sins of greed that much, you might die early, I haven't get an Enough entertainment from you yet."

"..."

when he said those words, rohan leave on his top and stand up as he started to walk straight to the door, "I have to leave first."

darius frowned to rohan so he asked him, "where are you going? surely you're not planning to go at your cousin and check weather if I'm telling the truth or not, right?"

rohan stare to him but a few minutes later he speak, "I'm not an idiot, there is something I have to do on behalf of crystalle's orders, well then, goodbye."

he didn't finished darius replying and shut the door, so darius just click his tongue.

"what a snobber. seriously."
