Sullivan Creed

Sullivan Creed is a 62-year-old English businessman, who lived a life full of ups and downs like most people his age.

He started a business with his wife and was a considerably successful Englishman in his younger years.

The love of life sadly passed with the birth of his son but he weathered through it as a strong widower with conviction.

He flourished, made friends, and inevitably made enemies.

Having provoked some snobbish nobleman, his business was taken over because it was unjustly justified by those with power.

Fed up with the indiscriminate bullying and wanton abuse of power in his country. This leaves him no choice but to migrate with shame together with his son, the young Oscar.

Just like any other, he chose America. The so-called land of dreams.

His nationality along with his lack of connections made their stay unfruitful for many years. It was impossible to thrive and progress with everyone being extremely xenophobic.

It did not help his cause that wars and disagreements were still prevalent throughout portions of the world.

Sullivan's business abilities were rendered useless as there was a huge barrier of entry that he wasn't able to overcome.

He made do with working with what job he was offered and adapted himself to have a stable source of income to support his son.

It took quite a few miles on the road to reach that point. Strangely enough, the business-savvy Sullivan did not pillar himself with his capitalistic profession but by doing menial jobs in Los Angeles.

Specifically, in Hollywood, and by being part of film production crews.

The Golden Age of Hollywood was also an opportunity for the lower rungs.

Just as unknown, poor, but pretty people became rich via stardom, Sullivan had a stable development in the behind-the-scenes of sets.

He had learned his lessons well and grew his connections in the entertainment industry. Becoming a relatively successful budget manager and planner with his talent. Eventually landing jobs as an assistant director in many movies.

With the way things are going and his continuous absorption of filming, it was only a matter of time for him to jump into being a director.

Sullivan had much higher goals to become a producer and eventually be back to his businessman route as a considerable power in a true blue production company.

With another stroke of misfortune and a repeat of history, he made enemies again and became squeezed out of the industry before he could start his directorial career.

Sullivan had no choice but to go with his contingency. This time around, it was not to migrate to another country but to make use of what he accumulated over all those years.

Using his connections and business mind, he became a medium for film production equipment. Instead of selling and leasing to established companies, he found his customers in a chaotic and messy independent circle.

When he found out that the independent circle had a much lower market than expected resulting in much lower earnings, Sullivan eventually found his perfect garden.

San Fernando Valley was just as productive or even more than Hollywood. Which meant that the market for film equipment was much more impressive.

Hence, the Creed family eventually settled in the area. Sullivan lived out his time as the businessman he once was, albeit much less impressive than what he was used to

His son was also on his way off to starting his family with an American beauty. Alexander was born and he became a happy grandpa with his cute grandson.

Unfortunately, the downs in life struck again. It wasn't his business that was attacked but his progeny.

His son and daughter-in-law were gone and his computer-obsessed and poor grandson became reclusive and even more computer-obsessed.

Sullivan sighed at the cruelty of life and came to the door to call the boy down to eat breakfast.

Leaving food on doorsteps and not letting the boy interact with people was unhealthy, so he planned to change the situation today with persistence.

"Alex..." Just as he was about to knock and call the boy to have breakfast together, the door opened and little Alexander went out.

"Morning, grandpa!" Alexander greeted with a nod and asked. "Is it time for breakfast already?"

Sullivan was surprised. Usually, whenever he tries this trick, he would be greeted with a 'go away'. Even the pretty babysitters he hired would receive the same treatment.

"Well, yes!" Sullivan was surprised but it was a happy surprise. His grandson was not as gloomy as he used to be and his old heart was relieved.

The Creed duo had breakfast and the day passed with Sullivan becoming much at ease.

"My grandson is slowly emerging from the gloom and growing." He said in satisfaction to himself and he didn't even notice the discrepancies that Alexander had unconsciously made.

It goes to show that grandpa was nitpicking the positive change while the grandson was overly worried.

Various examples were as follows:

Grandpa proposed to make grandson a glass of milk. Grandson subconsciously answered to have coffee instead.

Alexander sweated heavily with the simple mistake but old Sullivan just nodded in satisfaction. His grandson was embracing the bitterness of life instead of the fakeness of sweet milk.

Grandpa perfunctorily asked his grandson what he thinks about the effectiveness of his babysitter. Grandson from the future remembered his old fantasies and blurted out. "I think she's hot and has curves in all the right places."

Alexander face-smacked himself from stupidly blurting out his childhood regret. Meanwhile, Sullivan was positively nodding and thanking those male hormones are making his grandson redivert his focus from the mournful incident.

Indulgent grandpa was even thinking of hiring more beautiful babysitters to stop his grandson from being a recluse.

Alexander's goal of tricking his grandpa into believing his early maturity was already done through his clumsy and unplanned errors.

The Creed household eventually went through the motions and young Alexander, who was supposed to be mourning and completely reclusive for three years, had now changed his fate.

Within two weeks, Alexander was now an early-morning jogger and health enthusiast, who can wittily respond to his old-fashioned grandpa.

The Creeds had a collective breath of relief.

Sullivan was happy that his grandson had transformed for the better and become mature.

Alexander was celebrating being able to integrate into the old but new environment in a significantly lower amount of time than he thought it would be.

This is just going to be plain horrendous, silly, and more disgusting than my main trashy work.
