The phone call

Chris didn't respond to Sky's message immediately. He left it for when he returned to his dorm since he didn't want to take his attention away from Rachel. However, he couldn't fully give his attention to Rachel because the text still plagued his mind, and he wondered why Sky had sent him that. Was he apologizing again for what had happened? Why did it bother him so much?

When he was done making plans with Rachel for their outing tomorrow, he returned to his dorm, and as soon as he landed on the bed, he took out his phone to read the message again. He read it over and over again and then thought of what to text him. However, he didn't text. Instead, he called Sky. Maybe if Sky heard how serious he was, he'd stop all this altogether. 

He had thought the call would be missed and was just about to drop his phone when he found the seconds counting. 

Sky had picked up.

He put the call on loudspeaker, waiting for Sky to speak, but he didn't, so Chris broke the silence.
