Suspicion [Pt 3]

"This is amazing, Amanda. You are a really incredible cook" Aaron complimented as soon as he spooned some of what she prepared into his mouth. He was trying to get back in her good graces but he could feel there was something he could not quite place a finger on, some sort of barrier in between them and even the smile she cast him after his compliment was fake.

His eyes drifted to where Santa Claus sat eating like a ravenous beast, he did not bring his eyes up to meet Aaron but he could feel and see the tensed shoulder and was sure that if he reached for the salt beside Santa Claus' arm, the attack on him would he swift and unseeing.

Aaron knew he had been discovered and had to act fast and so he did something that neither of them would have expected in a million years.

"I heard about the doctor asking for sample of your friend's blood." He said suddenly

Amanda's head snapped up from the food she was eating to observe him and even Santa Claus raised an eyebrow at his statement.
