Chapter 7: It Isn't So

Yua Clan Meeting Place

Riku sight went to the brown sack remembering the person who was in there.

'Doesn't seem like I'll be able to get away with this fate, at least until this devil is killed.' recalling the actions the devil did to him and his comrades.

He used the dead bodies before using kunai placed around in a circle before placing a dead body within it.

It disappeared before my very eyes.

I have never seen such a thing.

Then he pulled over a Yua clan member to the formation only for half the body to disappear.

There wasn't a scream, just silence.

Luckily the second attempt made the entire person disappear with no side effects.

Other experiments the boy had done included cutting our bodies open and patching them up.

He engraved symbols onto our bodies.

None of us understood the meaning of such symbols.

There was no change in his expression when experimenting other than the occasional glee he would show.

'It wasn't a boy but the devil'

His heart tightened before he realized it was Ritsu's way of reminding him to do what he was told.

He had gotten lost in thought and the silence was prevailing in the room.

"Clan Head, the Karatachi Clan did indeed have a child, a son of four years old" 'He's only seven' mental thought Riku as he opened the sack showing a sleeping child.

Even if they were enemies, everyone couldn't help but show pity to the boy in front of them when they saw the chubby cheeks and fragile body he looked no older than four years

Luckily the boy was young which meant that their clan would be able to integrate him as part of their clan.

Hopefully passing on the Karatachi Clan bloodline thus strengthening their clan.

Yuto assessed the boy hoping to see through but all he saw was a child who was a bit under developed at least for their time.

But taking a closer look the man realized that Ritsu had not even unlocked his chakra or that's what his senses told him.

'That means the child in front of him is yet to turn four or his parents haven't unlocked his chakra.

Meaning he was a clean slate, absolutely wonderful!'

Yuto was smiling widely, happy as the Sage of Six Paths seemed to be looking over his clan.

Yuto got up from his seat,

"Riku, I want you to make use of a guest bedroom and take care of the boy till he wakes up and when he does notify me."

Riku nodded, before Riku and the shinobi next to him bowed to the Clan Head and took their leave.

As they left the room, they could hear the Clan Head announce that the Clan would have a banquet tonight.

Riku with the two shinobi were walking through the house that was newly built in the recent year.

They recall how well their clan has been and they thought how all that would be gone by tonight the whole Karatachi Clan was currently in the forest well around three hundred meter away.

A distance that a shinobi could travel within a minute or less.

Even more so when they thought of Ritsu who was in the bag, easily behind enemy lines.

He even managed to drop everyone's vigilance with his ability to hide his chakra making it seem as if he had never unlocked it.

Of course this is only if they didn't touch his body as there was no way to hide the flows of chakra sensed through one's sense of touch as long as the person feeling wasn't under genjutsu.

In this case they simply observed him and pushed the thought of him hiding his chakra since he was only a child.

As they entered an empty guest room, they gently lowered the brown sack allowing Ritsu to get out.

Ritsu eyed the wooden floor, and the soft bed, the extra over the top decoration or at least that is what it seemed to Ritsu.

Ritsu walked to the nearest wall while thinking about how he lived in a house that could probably fit in this house four to six times over, judging by the distance traveled.

Of course the guest house isn't as luxurious as the Clan head room, however, to Ritsu it was better than his entire house.

He took out a tag and placed it on the wall, the seal was to prevent others from hearing inside the room, while allowing those inside the room to hear outside.

Ritsu chuckled as he eyed his cursed sealed subordinates, "So these eighteen years have been treating your clan well.

"The clan has been doing well however, though prosperity isn't distributed evenly among the clan"

Responded a Yua clansman clenching his fist clearly holding a grudge.

Ritsu looked out the only window that was in the room specifically chosen by Riku so there would be less people to pry in from outside.

It was foggy and soon to be late afternoon, but from the trails and density of the fog, he could tell that it would be a clear sky tonight.

As for how he could tell it's a perk for those being a native the land of water.

They left as soon as Ritsu had finished practicing the use of his curse seal with his subordinates.

Ritsu had eight cursed subordinates, four from the Yua Clan, three from the Toru Clan and one from the Fuji Clan.

The one ninja from the Yua Clan who didn't show up in front of the Clan head was a stealth shinobi with excellent skills in staying hidden.

It allowed him to avoid the people within the Yua Clan Compound.

Combined with Ritsu's experiment improving his stealth.

If Ritsu didn't put the cursed seal on him he wouldn't have known where he was.

The shinobi's mission was to place tags surrounding the compound.

The tags had explosion seals on them.

'Since the Yua Clan will be having a banquet, I should add some paralytic substance in the food or water.' thought Ritsu,

'It's as if they're adding themselves on a silver platter.'

Luckily Ritsu prepared for everything with his vast knowledge of novels, movies, and anime.

He prepared many types of poisons.

Of course he didn't make them himself but rather had asked Shin, the Karatachi Clan doctor for substances that made people sleep, paralytic, or just straight up poisoned them.

With his storage ring which Ritsu kept hidden, he could easily smuggle them in.

Ritsu took out the main tag that would be used to activate the chain of explosions.

Currently he sensed that around fifty percent of the tags have been placed so far.

As for why didn't the Yua Clan member take the chance to give a heads up to his clan.

Was it because he feared for his life?

Rather it was his ambition to have more in life, his whole family has lived below average compared to the rest of the clan.

His family was known as the deadbeats of the clan.

He vowed that he would become the strongest and change his clan perception of him and his family even if he signed a deal with the devil.

Unluckily for him the heavens had given him talents in stealth and assassination however they denied him of any talent in ninjutsu.

With Ritsu's word that he could perform biological enhancements that could enhance their power of course with a cost.

Thus the shinobi gladly gave Ritsu his life for this chance, and Ritsu with his identify ability gladly gave the young man this opportunity.

The young man was named Kaz.

He had brown hair and was average in looks.

Using his curse seal jutsu, he was able to determine the location of all those with the curse seal, currently he put his focus on his curse seal subordinates that camped outside the compound allowing him to know the location of the squads of the Karatachi clan.

"In two hours, I want you to let Yuto know that I woke up." Ritsu told Riku,

Before looking at one of the other cursed subordinates, "I need you guys to get some lesser known clan members that won't be recognized being missing, they must also contain some chakra, I neet at least four people." Ritsu paused

Before from a flick from his sleeve smalls vials of poison and paralytic.

"I assume you know what these are, don't worry it won't outright kill them. It'll make it easier for us to capture them. I have antidotes so don't worry about your family drinking or taking food contaminated by it," said Ritsu as he handed a vial each.

"Put the clansmen you captured in a location not often visited by the clan, have them ready and on standby," finished Ritsu.

The shinobis bowed and left the room leaving Ritsu with Riku.

Yuto was currently being guided by Riku to the room that Ritsu was in.

Yuto wanted to see the boy as soon as he waked up so he could integrate Ritsu into the Yua Clan, and in a few years the Yua Clan would be the strongest of the Three Clan Alliance giving them even more benefits

They eventually arrived at the room and saw Ritsu being dressed by a maid, giving a fresh set of clothes showing that he was a part of the Yua Clan.

The maid had just finished dressing up Ritsu as she took her leave, not before bowing to the Clan Head of the Yua Clan.

Yuto approached Ritsu before asking

"Boy what is your name?"

"It's Ritsu," said Ritsu looking down anxiously while fidgeting.

"Ritsu, my name is Yuto, I am a long time friend of your father, I've known him since he was a child."

Ritsu looked at Yuto confused, "Why haven't I seen you before?"

Yuto coughed, "Well Ritsu your father and I were from different clans and we are the heads of our respective clans. There isn't much time to visit one another."

Ritsu gave a puzzle look, "Then why am I here and where is my parents?"

Yuto sighed showing a sorrowful expression

"Ritsu, you are here because your clan was under attack. We sent help to fend off the enemy shinobi but they were too strong. Unfortunately we were only able to ta- -rescue you on your parents orders. As they stayed behind stalling the pursuers."

Explain Yuto exaggerated the sorrowful expression making sure Ritsu understood the gravity of the situation as he was\a child.

Ritsu acted as if he didn't hear his words, "I want to see my parents"

"They are somewhere else for now and they can't come see you for the moment."

"I want to go back home" said Ritsu as he let a few tears drop from his face.

"Oh Ritsu, this is your home now so don't worry" said Yuto as he consoled the boy.

"We will be having a banquet in honor of you as a new family and once the banquet starts I will introduce you to the rest of the clan.

Ritsu kept his head down before nodding, keeping his face out of sight from Yuta's eyes.

As it showed a face of disgust.

Midnight Yua Clan Compound

In the first hour of the Banquet Ritsu was being introduced to many of the Yua Clan clansmen.

The shinobi had fake expressions as they tried their best to smile.

He was always around Yuto, the first people he met were Yuto's son who barely qualifies as a Jonin along with his son's wife who was currently pregnant.

Ritsu eyed the woman when no one was looking.

'It was a pity that the child might not have a father after that night. That if it survives.'

An hour in the clansmen were drinking and dancing.

While Ritsu was at a table filled with kids similar to his age of course Yuto's table was close by.

While Ritsu was making 'friends' a kid who was a bit older, had dirty clothes and scruffy hair, came up to Ritsu clearly annoyed.

His father had told him to get Ritsu to go and play with some of his friends over where they were playing kickball.

Yuto allowed Ritsu to go and play and of course he sent Riku to monitor him while doing so.

Once he arrived at the area with open space which was within the Yua clans compound.

He saw the kid's father, cursed subordinate number 1, along with his other cursed subordinate, the one hidden from the rest of the clan.

Ritsu told the boy he had to use the bathroom and would return later.

As he followed the shinobi in the shadows he eventually came across a rather big building clearly made out of wood however, it was dilpapetated there were also two guards knocked out at the entrance of the building with curse subordinate number 2

His cursed subordinate appeared by his side,

"Ritsu-sama, we were not able to get anyone from the clan who had sufficient chakra as everyone is aware of each other at the banquet, besides these guards of course."

"Of course if it's only chakra we need then the people inside the cabin should suffice my lord. But I do ask that you keep an open mind." said Kaz as he unlocked the door to the building.

"That won't matter these two people have sufficient chakra.

I asked for four because I didn't think we'd get anyone with high chakra reserves." said Ritsu as he checked the unconscious shinobi guards.

As he opens the door an awful aroma escaped from the building causing Ritsu to frown.

Kaz motioned for Ritsu to enter.

Ritsu went inside, however what he saw inside made his blood boil as he activated his identify ability..
