Updating the world.

''Sir, why do you plan to learn magic?'' Jarvis asked as Tony examined the scanned pages of the book, slowly flipping through the digital pages as he just read about it for now.

''For defensive purposes, I might eventually train in it properly to be able to use it for more, but for now, I purely want it so that if I come across a magical event, I am not lost, and I have at least some knowledge of how it works, I already have too much to research and study to think I could add magic into my list this early, for now, it is just learning about it. My suits are advanced tech, sure, but what if some guy can shoot a beam of mystic energy that harms my soul or something, or can liquify my organs from the inside even if the suits are in the way?''

''That's... A good reason to look into protecting yourself from magic.''

Tony nodded as he closed the book, shrinking it down and sending it into the band around his wrist. ''I can tell the Ancient one already knew about it as well, since the book seems to be focused more around defending yourself from magic, than attacking with it, but there are also notes on how to do that as well.''

Tony walked across the room as he pulled up a few digital holograms from his wrist, noticing how fast the company funds were disappearing. ''Jarvis, it's time we begin the clean energy project, as well as start to release the energy-efficient lightbulbs, both the bright and the dim variant.''

''Right away Sir, I will begin looking for the best routes to take with our business and strike while the iron is hot.''

Tony pulled out a hologram for the redesign of the workshop, robots that would help him take the suits on and off until he was able to develop nanobots were also included this time.

Along with the proper workstations he would need for his more advanced projects to come, taking the sledgehammer he had leaned up against the wall he lifted it up, using Jarvis to scan the wall and plan out everything for him.

''Well... Let's get some workout in before bed, shall we?''

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

''Tony... is everything alright?''

Tony looked up from his sandwich, all around him was ongoing construction, James slowly making his way over.

''Yeah, everything's good, just renovating the workshop, Dad always wanted to but never got the chance, with the clean energy project slowly getting worked on, and the lightbulbs selling like hot cakes, I've got time.''

James chuckles. ''I'll be honest, out of everything I was wondering what you would come up with to sell... Lightbulbs were not one of them, but 10 years guaranteed or your money back? Bought a few for me, both the bright and dim ones, house feels a lot better with them for some reason.''

''Proper lighting that fits your taste makes you feel nice, I plan to eventually release colored lighting, so people can have their rooms in different colors such as red, greens, blue, purples, even yellow if they wanted.''

James looked at him like he was crazy, causing Tony to laugh as he stood up from the table he was sitting on, finishing his sandwich. ''What can I do for you man? You're dressed for business, not pleasure this time.''

James handed him a folder, his face souring a bit. ''I've got an order from the top that I can't turn down, they thought a friendly face would make it easier for you to say yes.''

Tony looked at the folder, noticing the name on the front. 'Lt. General Thaddeus E. Ross' Seeing the name caused him to squint a bit before he opened the folder and began to read it.

Ross was 'Requesting' Tony continue to make weapons and supply them only to the American military. Tony squinted slightly as he tried to think, that it was because of this guy the Hulk would become a thing... An accident went wrong, but honestly, no matter what he did right now there was nothing he could do to prevent it. He wasn't sure when the events would happen, and there weren't enough cameras and technology yet for him to be able to have Jarvis locate that much information.

Tony continued to slowly read the folder, it was basically trying to convince Tony to say yes, telling him how many lives he could save if he supplied soldiers with stronger weapons across the world.

He simply handed the folder back to James. ''You already know my answer, but tell them that if they buy a few thousand of my lightbulbs, I'll consider it.''

James chuckled as he took the folder. ''Will you really though?''

''No, but the money is kind of them.'' Tony smiled to his friend, slapping at his shoulder. ''Come back when you're done working for the big man, I've got a job offer for you, and hopefully, we can discuss it over some beers.''

James clicked his tongue. ''You should've said beers before I got here, I would have just burned the folder before I got here.''

Tony waves as Jame slowly made his way out Tony then turned around, getting back to work on the large-scale renovation.

''Sir, our profits just raised to the pin you marked so you could start on the next project.''

Tony looked up as he stopped mid-swing with his sledgehammer. ''Already? Man, I love money, let's start the internet golden age a few years early, start on a small scale around L.A. first so I can start getting more information about the things going on around me, once the next pin is hit, we'll start releasing the towers for cell service, then it's onto phones.''

Tony continued working, tearing down the wall he was working on, at his current speed, and with the help of Dum-E slowly pulling rubble out of the way and throwing it into a pile for recycling later, it would be another month or two before he finished properly... Maybe he should update Dum-E first, to help speed up the bot?
