The De Silva Clan

Southford was located in the southern part of Bloomsdale City. It was one of the most dangerous places in the country. It was the Mafia's territory.

There were four organized crime groups living in Southford. The Costales Clan, the Gotti's, the Escobar Brothers and the De Silva Clan. Among the four, the De Silva Clan was the most powerful of them.

Although each clan had their own boss, they still follow the head of the De Silva Clan. They joined them two years ago and vowed their loyalty to Luciano De Silva.

The head of the clan was a fifty-year-old man. He was married to Cristina Gotti, the only daughter of Anton Gotti. He had two sons from his wife, but three years ago, his eldest son who was supposed to be his successor, was killed. His youngest son was only seven years old so he had no choice but to name another successor.

Aciel Vance De Silva was Luciano's illegitimate son from a short love affair with Beatrice Montreal, a princess from a small country called Vostrea. She was the only daughter of King Magnus the third.

After Luciano's eldest son died, he knew the position of the next successor was beginning to be the target of the other clans. His other son was too young to handle the role of the second in command.

Luciano loved Aciel's mother deeply. She was the love of his life, but they could never be together as she was also chosen as the next ruler of Vostrea. When she gave his son to Luciano, he promised her that he would take care of him and would not let him be his successor.

But with the other clan bosses pressuring him, he had no choice but to choose Aciel as the next Mafia Boss. It was suggested by his brother who took care of Aciel when Princess Beatrice gave the kid to him.

To Luciano's surprise, the boy did not decline and gladly accepted his new role. But he began to rebel with him and the clan. He was called the Black Prince of the De Silva Clan because no one could order him around even his father.

With Luciano diagnosed with cancer, Aciel had to play the part of the Mafia Boss. He had to be seen more and more by the other clan members to strengthen his ties with them and get their loyalty.

As part of being the next Mafia Boss, Aciel had to choose a wife from another powerful family. The girl should not belong to a clan lower than them. Martin, the current Consigliere of the De Silva Clan, chose the suitable girls for him.

But Luciano and Martin didn't expect that he would meet Xylia Lovelle Antonov, the only heiress of the wealthiest family in Bloomsdale City.

She was supposed to be off-limits for a specific reason. Aciel tried to obey the clan's rule, but he could not take his eyes off Xylia. He could not accept that someone like Ivan Harlow would be her fiance.

When Xylia confessed to him, he tried to use her feelings to submit herself to him. But she wasn't like the other girls. Her feelings for him were real and he couldn't hurt her for that reason.

He thought it was over and he was ready to tell Martin to just randomly select a girl for him. But then, an unexpected chance happened. Xylia came and asked him to save her.

Aciel could not turn his back on her so he took that chance to persuade her to marry him. And she did not disappoint him. She agreed in exchange for the help he was willing to give, and now they were in front of the De Silva Mansion to tell his father about their relationship.

Xylia's knees weakened when she got out of the car. She had never met Luciano De Silva, but she knew he was well-respected by famous politicians and wealthy families. She glanced at Aciel who was talking to the man who came running to greet them.

The man looked at her from head to toe which made her nervous even more. Then he looked at Aciel again and nodded before running back inside the mansion.

Aciel saw Xylia was anxious. She was taking deep breaths and her hands were trembling on the way to Southford.

"Ready?" He asked even though he knew she wasn't.

Xylia bit her lip and nodded. He grabbed her hand and then pulled her inside the mansion.

"Aciel!" A little boy shouted.

They saw a little boy who was running toward them. He was about seven or eight years old and had some resemblance with Aciel.

"Hey! How are you?" Aciel greeted the boy with a huge smile on his face.

"I'm fine. But school is really boring. Father said you came to visit last week, but why didn't you tell me? I want to play with you." The boy pouted.

Aciel chuckled and gave the boy a pat on the head. "I'm sorry but I'll make it up to you. I promise."

Xylia was shocked by the way Aciel talked to the boy. His smile was not fake. The way he treated him was genuine.

The boy finally noticed the girl beside Aciel and saw them holding each other's hands.

"Who's that? Your girlfriend?" The boy teased.

"Be quiet. I haven't told father. This is Xylia. Xylia, my little brother, Luca."

Xylia smiled at the boy and she was surprised when Luca suddenly hugged her.

"You smell nice. I love it." Luca commented.

Aciel grabbed the boy's arm and pulled him away from her. "Hey, she's mine so she's off-limits. Go to your mom and tell her I'm here."

The boy laughed but obeyed his brother. He ran upstairs shouting, telling everyone that Aciel brought a girl home.

Xylia had never expected to see something like that. She thought the mansion would be filled with men with guns and knives. But the place was calm and inviting. A place that you could really call home.
