Best Friend's Son

Katherine Pierce was facing extreme difficulties as she had turned into a human.

After the cure was taken out of her, she was aging faster.

She had been hiding out, and after being attacked by several people. Not being able to compel the people to get things........Life wasn't good for Katherine Pierce, because she wasn't getting what she wanted. She couldn't ever get what she wanted.

Immortality.

That is all she wanted.

After living in the street for six days, she went to people who she always abused, but still they gave her better treatment than anyone she crossed.

The Salvatore Brothers.

But this time, Damon Salvatore wasn't feeling so generous and welcoming.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Damon asked, "Why are you back!?"

He asked Katherine.

"Just needed some place.." Katherine told him.

He vamped towards her, and pinned her to the wall.

"When you are a human, Katherine." He held her by her throat. "You are very fragile!"

"I am just sick!" She croaked.

Caroline Forbes came inside,

"Stefan!?" She shouted.

She looked at Damon and Katherine.

"Damon?" She vamped towards him. "Is Stefan..."

She used her vampire hearing. She heard something unusual. A Heart beat. There were three people in the room, she heard four.

"Damon! Damon!" She shouted.

"What blondie?" He snapped at her.

Caroline Forbes pushed Damon away from Katherine Pierce. He crashed into the book shelf.

"What the hell?" Damon asked Caroline.

"Is someone here?"

"What?" Damon looked confused.

"Is someone, other than us...is in the house?" She repeated.

"No…" Damon stood up, "Why?"

"I think she's pregnant." Caroline told him.

"WHAT?" Damon and Katherine jumped.

"Just listen.." Caroline told Damon. "The heartbeat…."

Damon understood what she was saying. He heard it too. Three people, four heartbeats.

"It must be a few weeks already." Caroline took Katherine's hand, pulled her up.

"Whose baby is it?" She compelled Katherine.

"Stefan Salvatore." Katherine said like a robot.

"WHAT?"

This time it was Caroline and Damon who shouted.

"How did this happen?" Damon asked.

"I know…" Caroline jumped. "When she turned human, Silas took it from her. She came here.....She and Stefan."

Damon groaned.

"No…"

"Katherine….You are pregnant!" Caroline told her, "You should go to a doctor!"

"I…." Katherine was stumped, "I am not…"

"Just go to the doctor, and get a confirmation!"

Caroline and Damon both could hear the heartbeat.

"I am pretty sure I am right, Katherine…" She smiled. "Just check with a doctor."

"Don't tell me what to do!"

"I can!" She told Katherine. "You are human….and much without vervain!"

Damon snickered.

"I suggest you check with a doctor, and tell Stefan!" Damon told her.

Katherine Pierce was stumped. Since she had turned into a human. Her life had taken a turn for the worst. She hated it this way.

Katherine stood there, stubbornly.

"I will compel you, Katherine!" Damon told her. "We don't care about you, but if there is any chance this is Stefan's kid…..We are his family!"

"Fine!" Katherine knew when she was beaten down.

"I am going with you."

"NO!"

"It wasn't a question, Katherine." Caroline told her, "I am coming to see the baby."

"Why so sudden interest in me!" Katherine started to walk ahead. Caroline right behind her.

"You?" Caroline laughed, "No one gives a damn about you, Katherine!"

Damon snickered.

"Just the part where that baby is half my best friend's!"

"At this moment, I am proud to say…." Damon sat down, "That blonde is my friend!"

Caroline smiled.

"This way, Katherine." Caroline said through gritted teeth, as Katherine tried to get away.

"I'm going.." She replied through gritted teeth.

Caroline pushed her in, and got an appointment. She compelled the Doctor to see Katherine first.

She waited for the doctor to come back.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Well, you were right." The doctor told her, "She is pregnant…..Almost 10 weeks now."

"That's two and a half months!" Caroline exclaimed.

"Right…" The doctor nodded, and went ahead.

Katherine Pierce came out of the room, looking flushed.

"Well, you were right."

"I usually am!" Caroline smirked, "I suppose you should tell Stefan."

Caroline took out her ringing phone,

"Hello, Damon." She said, "Well, I was right….Stefan's going to be a father!"

She and Damon talked for a few more minutes, and Caroline hailed a cab.

Katherine had no choice but to get in.

They got out in front of the Salvatore House, she paid the driver and got out.

Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore were sitting on the couch, drinking bourbon. Elena's face displayed shock, Caroline assumed Damon had told her everything.

"Well, I am back with the 'Mommy'!" She exclaimed, she made herself a drink from the table, and sat next to Elena.

"How? How did this happen?" Elena asked.

Katherine took a glass, she was about to make herself a drink when Damon Salvatore threw the glass out of her hand.

"It isn't 1462, Katherine." He almost growled at her. "You can't drink."

Katherine pouted.

"And no smoking…" Caroline took a drink, and told her.

"I have to go." Elena got up, "Bonnie wanted to go shopping, Coming Caroline?"

She asked Caroline, as she picked up her jacket.

"No….I can't, I have something….Things, I have to do." She told Elena.

Elena looked at her, surprised.

"I'll tell you later!" Caroline sighed.

Elena nodded, and left.

Caroline sipped at her drink, while Katherine sat in front of her, pouting still. Damon Salvatore smirked.

Caroline's phone rang. She looked at it. She didn't pick up, she turned it off.

"Well, I have to go too…" She got up, "Thanks for the drink, Damon!"

"Thank you for helping yourself!" Damon snickered.

"Well, I should go too….Far far away from here!" Katherine stood up. "Last thing I want to do is raise a baby now that I am dying!"

Caroline turned around, Damon Salvatore stood up.

"What did you say?" She asked. Emphasizing on every word.

Caroline was standing inches away from Katherine.

"This is just not your kid…" Damon told her, "It also has Salvatore blood, the Salvatore name…...Stefan has a right to know."

"I don't care what Stefan says!"

"I cannot believe you," Caroline held her head in her hands, "You have no shred of humanity left, have you?"

She almost shouted.

"In half millennium, you must have gotten a thousand chances, at least to redeem yourself." Caroline told her, "You didn't take any…..Hell, I thought if Klaus Mikaelson could take it, I thought anyone could!"

Damon looked at Caroline.

"Klaus?" He asked.

"Hayley is having Klaus Mikaelson's baby." Caroline told him.

"How the hell did that happen?" He asked, making a weird face. "And on a more important note, how do you know?"
