Chapter 19: Rewards and Surprises.

"You look amazing, so cool and stylish, I have decided, that Madoka will be my idol from now on. I will definitely grow up to be like her." Ruri spoke with stars in her eyes.

"I am not someone you should learn from, but it's a good chance to make a fresh start. If you wish to learn something from me, learn that only the strong have the right to choose, grow strong enough to protect yourselves and the ones you care about, for there is no medicine for regret." Madoka spoke with a heavy tone yet her voice was soft.

"Well, we kind of already guessed something like this will happen and we decided that you can stay with Aster. He has a castle and can make anything that you might need, he is the strongest and can also spar with you." Ruri spoke.

"Well there is also the fact that he lives all alone in the Frozen Lands, and you are also alone, you two can give each other some company." Amelia continued after her.

"Hmm, show me, this phone or whatever you called it can show it right?" Madoka said with an appraising look.

"Sure," Aster showed her the video that he took from Crystal flying around the Castle and the Frozen Lands. Madoka, along with the others was mesmerized by the beauty of the Frozen lands and the castle of ice.

"That's decent enough, I guess it won't be that bad," Madoka said with a hand holding her chin.

"It won't be a bad experience, and why don't we open our rewards before going back?" Aster asked.

"Sure, let's do that," Kazuma spoke as he opened his gift.

"Huh, I got an A-rank-skill <Swordsmanship>, "Kazuma said with a happy smile, he used the skill and drew his blade to make some slashes. He was amazed at his change, he literally went from noob to pro in a second. His mind had a lot of information on swordsmanship, strokes, moves, and other bits and tricks.

"Woah, you just went from useless to acceptable. Congratulations on the upgrade." Ruri dissed. "I got a free ticket to another world." she continued.

"I am still better than you, you damned goth loli." Kazuma snickered.

"Sure, just don't come to me to get patched up after you manage to get your ass kicked next time." Ruri played it cool.

"Please forgive me great Queen of Nightmares." Kazuma dived onto the ground to kneel and prostrated himself in mock worship.

"I got to portable armory cases with automatic repairs and ammo refills." Koro Sensei felt weirded out, it was the kind of gift he would have liked before he turned into an octopus, but now? He simply shrugged and took it out to show the others. [pic here.]

"Woah, are those the real deal?" Kazuma was about to touch the gun, but Koro Sensei swatted his hand with a tentacle.

"Children should not touch things like this." Koro Sensei chided him like an elder which he was.

Aster picked up the SMG and put it together as the video on supernet dictated. He made a target a few meters away, corcked the chamber round and flipped the switch to burst and shot a few rounds.

Both his lives, it was the first time he touched, much less fired a gun. But now that he did, he felt like it was like nothing like anything he experienced before, with a stomp of his foot, he made a dozen targets on different distances and some were moving while some were snowballs that were bouncing around randomly.

He took into position and started shooting, each shot was on the mark, the feeling of the recoil softly pushing his arms, with the flash of fire as the bullet left the chamber and the tinkling of the empty shells falling on the ground, it was like a symphony. Aster was in a trance, the gun in his hands was now frozen over and stopped working and only then did he notice that the few meters around him were frozen.

The others were looking at him with various different emotions, Madoka did not know what a gun was but she was quite interested in it now that she has seen it in action. Amelia on the other hand was shocked to see that guns had advanced to such a level. Back in her world it's still shotguns and flint locks while the automatics are still rare and not so advanced.

Kazuma and Ruri were civilians, they found it really cool and were very much impressed that Aster could perform on this level despite it being the first time he ever touched a gun.

Koro Sensei on the other hand knew that it was a natural affinity towards firearms that very few possessed, and Aster had it in Aces.

"That was oddly satisfying." Aster sighed and thawed the ice all around.

"Just tell me if you want some of these bad boys. I'll send them over any time" Koro Sensei smiled, feeling a bit of kinship with Aster.

"Sure, but I think I will be making mine from now, I got an SS-rank-skill <Transmutation.> So, if you guys want something made, you can just ask me, but I will prefer an equivalent exchange, either in points or things that I think are interesting." Aster smiled.

"So, what you gave us was the last of the free stuff?" Kazuma asked with dark lines on his forehead.

"Yup, each of you have things I made for you and they all have a special feature, they have a silver ice wisp that can help me locate you if we are on the same planet. It will also let Crystal come to your aid and even protect you if you land in dire straits." Aster revealed.

"So, these earrings and the necklace, you made them?" Madoka asked in an impassive tone of voice.

"Yes, and they are quite special as well, the earrings can turn into swords, a katana, and a scythe since I saw you prefer them in battle. The necklace, on the other hand, holds a wisp of ice from me, with this no amount of cold will bother you and it will also keep you nice and chill in the summers. Quite similar to the one Ruri has but this one comes with a surprise. Try them out." Aster smiled.

She held the crystals of her earrings and used her chakra to see what happens. The crystals turned into wisps of ice and turned into two beautiful weapons, a katana, and a scythe.

She held these weapons and felt them in her hands and immediately took a liking to them both. She was even more eager to see the surprise Aster planned in the necklace.

She willed the weapons to go back and they turned into wisps and returned to the earrings as crystals. Then she touched the necklace and willed it to open and it turned into three wisps of ice and started circling her as her clothes started to change and in the next second, she was wearing a beautiful dress.
