"God, your mom is fucking cool" Junya couldn't help but comment after hearing his story. It was a scary one and something he didn't expect from someone like Wenji.
"Really? When I tell someone, they always say sorry for your loss. Or sorry to hear" Wenji replied.
"Why would I be sorry, I never did it" He shrugged. "I understand what you mean though, people, tell me that whenever they find out my parents died during Eve of Chaos." He explained.
"Now that you say that. Doesn't that mean your blessing is the same as your mom's?" Junya asked suspiciously.
"Yeah, but mine is from a spirit. It's not a god's blessing." Wenji exhaled exaggeratedly.
Wenji saw a weird expression in his eyes and decided against asking him. "So what about your blessing. I can't tell what it is..."
"That's a secret..." Junya thought of a lie, but none would work.
"What the shit man, after I just poured out my whole life story?"
"That's not my fault. If you think I owe you something then you can ask me something else."
Junya wasn't willing to entertain talks about his blessing much longer.
"Well, how did you get separated from the Wotanbe family."
"Well, before the Eve of chaos, they were a rich family and my mom was involved in an arranged marriage and left the family and married my dad." He explained.
"Ah, I guess that makes sense...mhmhmh, hahaha!"
"What's so funny?"
"It's just that I never went back to my family since high school and you were a disowned line of your family. Isn't it funny we managed to meet each other?"
"Hm, I guess it is" Junya smirked and then quipped. "What's funny is you got your pervy side from your mom. I expected it from your dad"
Wenji shrugged, "There is no shame in curiosity and none in enjoying it… Is probably something she said."
'Yeah right' Junya never argued with him. Instead, he pointed in front of him. "We're where"
They both looked up and saw the top Mountain ridge. They had finally reached it, they stopped at the top and looked down only at the vast luscious plains below. The sun peaked through the clouds and glistened on top of the water and flora that grew.
It was a beautiful landscape with a perfect balance of flora and fauna. Still, this prompted him to ask something.
"Hey soo, where is the school…." Junya asked.
"You really look like the clueless type." Wenji double-tapped the emblem on his uniform.
Through Junya's eyes, he could finally see the grandiose-like palace, sparkling spectacularly under the beaming ray of the radiant sun. The walls were white, pristine, crafted from the finest marble man could find.
The was a large lush field with large trees and vast grass fields around. A little further was out it looked like an outer city. Its mesmerising golden gate stood at the forefront of the premises and allowed entry into the premises. Inside you could see a lot of people walking up and down the streets which he assumed to be students.
Junya could easily wager the school premises could challenge that of Berger town.
"Wow, what a sight" He took only a second to marvel at the sight before reminding himself of the trail. Though he wishes he had time to leisurely walk there.
"Let's go it seems we made it on time. I don't see anyone else heading that way" Junya added.
'You're righ-"
Wenji was about to add his piece when a roaring shout echoed from the mountain below them.
"WENJI YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE, I'LL GROUND YOU INTO THE DIRT"
Loud thumping fastened them the moment Wenji and Junya looked back. Charging up the side of the mountain ridge, Creig's face was filled with anger as he locked sights with the duo, his speed was blistering, however, he travelled without making much noise.
A slight mist below his feet acted as a booster for each step. His speed was a little faster than jack who cracked the ground with his momentum.
The duo exchanged no more than surprised lookers before taking off downhill. Junya used Asura's step and took off a little before Wenji. The sudden realization of their speed difference made surprised Wenji.
Their gap started widening which frighted Wenji even more.
"Hey, are you really going to leave me! I thought we had a deal!" Wenji yelled out, timely reaching the ear of Junya.
"Just run faster! Don't hold back!"
"I'm not!" Wenji yelled back. Junya clicked his tongue and lowered his speed so that Wenjiu trailed behind him.
"Do you have any plans?"
"Me, I plan to protect you till we reach school. If I get tagged team I'll outrun all of you. I'm not showing up to school with broken bones on the first day" Junya continued to keep an eye on the duo chasing them keeping a single on the sabre.
'Dammit' Wenji cursed in his head, he never took Junya's threat for granted. He pressured himself to use its ability to its maximum, raising his speed. He past Junya and went on ahead which Junya quickly did the same.
A hundred metres back, Creig saw that their speed looked to be increasing, but he just wickedly grinned.
"You idiot think that you can run away from me! Keep dreaming!"
Mist enveloped his feet and he did the same for Jack who was running. The mist made his Jack's bulky body a lot lighter, both their speeds rose twice as much as before, especially going downhill they looked nothing more than a streak.
Tailwind crashed into the trees and flowers knocking the pollen, insect and animals of tree limbs. Their direction was set on a straight bath.
Junya and Wenji whizzed in of course to try and miz Jack and Creig up from their location.
Their cap closed down to a mere 50 metres and Creig mist started to prove superior in the chase.
Creig carefully watched in front of him as the two 'idiots' were swerving through the forest. It was rather hard for him to keep perfect track of them since he would lose sight of them for a second at a time.
'They really underestimate me huh, Fine we'll see!'
"Jack"
"Boss!"
"We will engage them on the flat, they will be faster downhill since they descended first. Furthermore, we will lose time gaining them on the falt, so I'll send you there."
Jack looked at Creig with wide eyes before nodding silently. The mist around Jack's feet gradually grew larger on the command of Creig, it rose right into the air, and soon they were over the forest.
"Jack, remember we need Wenji, focus on him… I'll deal with the other brat" Creig angrily gruffed at the end of his sentence.
Jack nodded, after which Creig grabbed the mist with his hands and with tremendous might threw Jack who hardly weighed a few feathers at an astonishing speed in the line of escape of Junya and Wenji.
