Escape

The sun was setting when the group of the survivors split up between the buildings again and began to gather supplies for the new journey. They ransacked the houses, killing any remaining Tainted hidden in them.

Shaun overseered the group with a gleeful smile on his face. He was in charge now, just as it had been supposed to be from the very beginning. He looked with hatred at Adam's house from time to time. He would deal with him, just not yet. The memory of him saving the group from starvation was too fresh in others' minds.

The only thing Shaun remembered though, was the humiliation he had caused him. He would pay it back tenfold in time and show them what it meant to cross him, especially this hateful bitch, Maya. As the thoughts of revenge filled his mind, Shaun felt intoxicated, aroused even. He quickly chose one of the houses and vanished from people's sight.
