Natasha groaned as she opened her eyes and turned to the other side on her bed, running away from the sun's harsh glares coming in from the open window, as if forcing her to wake up, but she did not want to do that at all.
Natasha groaned she had a truly terrible headache at the moment. Why wouldn't she when she had cried all through the night?
She did not even know when she had managed to sleep off, all she knew was that she was sure she had cried more than she had ever in a long time.
Natasha squeezed her eyelids shut, feeling the after effects of her crying, she had the worst throbbing headache right now.
Natasha sighed, cursing herself internally, once she was awake, she was awake for good, she was the kind of person that felt like she was lazy if she went back to bed after clearly waking up, once she woke up, it meant that her day had begun.
Unfortunately for her, today was definitely not one of her best days, Natasha reluctantly opened her eyes as she groaned, struggling to sit up as she rested her back against the headboard of her bed.
Natasha rubbed her eyes as she groaned, looking at her alarm clock, it was 9:00 am sharp.
Natasha felt very terrible this morning, everywhere was aching and worst of all her head was throbbing really bad.
She felt like she could not get out of bed even if she wanted to, and she was not planning to in the first place.
A residue of dry tears were evident on her face, her eyes were still red and watery, her nose a little bit runny, her skin was a mild red from all the crying, her hair was a mess her throat was very dry but she could not care less.
She did not feel like going out anywhere today, she just wanted to stay in her room all day long.
She definitely did not want to start crying again, she could not even if she wanted to, she had no more tears to cry in the first place.
Natasha let out a deep sad sigh as she just remained there, deep in her thoughts, it was clear from the look on her face that she still felt a lot of sorrow, but beneath that sorrow was relief, relief that her name was finally cleared.
And even if she could not dwell on that relief at the moment, it was still there.
Natasha was deep in her thoughts when she suddenly heard a knock on her bedroom door.
She had no intention of answering it, she did not even know who was outside her door and she didn't care, she did not want to talk to anyone right now, she just wanted to be alone.
Natasha just hoped that whoever was knocking on her door would go away, but she was sorely mistaken because the knock came again, and she ignored it again, and then the person knocked again and Natasha was starting to get annoyed.
"Natasha it's me, can I come in?" came Dom's voice from outside the door as Natasha had a deep frown on her face, she definitely did not want to see or hear from Dom right now, he was the last person she wanted to see right now.
Natasha wanted to shout ''No you cannot come in" but she realized that she was unable to do so, her throat was so dry that her voice barely came out.
Dom on the other hand was starting to get worried, yes sure, he agreed that she needed some space and time to think but that was yesterday, it had been a day and she was still locked up in her room.
He was worried because she had not eaten anything since yesterday, she had definitely been crying all night, and he honestly wanted to know how she was doing.
So he did not even bother asking her again, he was not going to leave her alone for another day, who knew what could happen to her if he did?
"I'm coming in Natasha" said Dom as he turned the doorknob and walked into Natasha's room as the frown on Natasha's face was very deep.
Obviously not hiding her displeasure that she did not want him here, but Dom was already used to her gazes of coldness, it didn't faze him.
What worried him on the other hand was that she was silent, and her eyes were still red, he could see the residue of dried tears on her face, and he knew that she was going through a lot, and he was really trying to be understand.
He just hoped that Natasha would at least not be difficult with him right now.
"Good morning..." he said as he walked closer to where Natasha was with a tray in his hand.
Natasha did not reply to him, her voice was too stressed to do so, so she just glared at him angrily, she didn't have the strength to shout at him, but she wanted him to leave.
"I brought you some hot tea... you didn't eat anything yesterday I thought you would come down for dinner, but you didn't" said Dom as he placed the tray on her beside table.
Natasha looked at him and then at the tray and then back at him.
"Yes I made it myself, and I didn't do anything to it, drink it, it will make you feel a little bit better" said Dom as he could tell what Natasha was thinking, and judging that she hadn't shouted at him yet, her voice must have been very drained from all her crying.
"I made it myself because Alfred isn't around, he's probably still at Grandfather's" said Dom as he could still see that Natasha had questions.
Natasha looked sceptical, but her throat was really dry, and she was starting to feel hungry, it was true that other than breakfast yesterday, she didn't eat anything.
Natasha ignored Dom as she took the teacup and poured herself a hot cup of tea as she drank it and Dom was relieved that she was finally eating something, or at least in this case, drinking something.
Natasha cleared her throat as she felt the hot liquid sooth her aching throat and she sighed and closed her eyes for a bit, she just needed a break to be honest.
"Do you feel better now?" asked Dom as he pulled Natasha out of her thoughts, reminding her of his presence that made her frown as she opened her eyes and looked at him, wondering why he was still here.
"Aren't you supposed to be at work?" asked Natasha as her voice came out cracked and she drank some more tea.
"Not today... I'm taking the day off, I won't be going to work for a few days..." said Dom as Natasha frowned, just great, that meant that he wouldn't be going anywhere, so much for her being alone.
"Don't you have work to do?" asked Natasha as she didn't like how he was just standing there, watching her every move.
"No" he replied, not working for a few hours or days wouldn't kill him, he needed to make things right first, this was the most important thing right now.
Natasha sighed, she knew that was a lie, Dom was a workaholic more than anything else, she could bet that he would be out of here in the next hour or so, give or take, depended on how far he was willing to take this being here thing.
Natasha went back to sipping her tea, feeling her headache slowly subsiding when she suddenly remembered someone important that she had forgot.
"Where is Joy?!" she asked in horror as she looked at Dom, she had forgotten totally about Joy with everything that happened yesterday, how could she have forgotten her own daughter.
"Don't worry Natasha, Joy is alright, she's at my parent's house, It's better for her to be there than here" said Dom as Natasha agreed with that with the slow nodding of her head, she wouldn't have liked Joy to see her the way she was yesterday, all sad and depressed sobbing with no end.
"Would you like to eat anything else other than just drinking tea?" asked Dom as Natasha looked at him.
"I'm just fine" she replied as she lied, she didn't want him doing things for her, that would not be a good way for him to say that he was sorry, she honestly did not want him here, she just still didn't have the strength to tell him to leave.
Dom frowned in worry, he could see that Natasha had not slept much, she had tired bags under her eyes, and her nose was still runny, she sniffed occasionally and her voice was still a bit cracked.
"You can leave now..." said Natasha as she decided it would be better if he left.
Dom sighed, he was not going to leave this time, not now, they seriously needed to talk some things out.
"Natasha can we talk...please?" asked Dom as he pleaded in a soft tone with Natasha as her tired red eyes met his sad ones.
