435: Killing without spilling blood

The Crown Prince had predicted correctly; indeed, Yuanhui Palace had summoned Su Xinyi over.

As Su Xinyi took her seat, Mrs. Zhao promptly presented tea, smiling as she said, "Crown Princess, this tea was specially prepared for you by the small kitchen at the command of the Empress."

Being pregnant, Su Xinyi was particularly cautious about her diet. The tea that was offered, though called tea, was in fact a nourishing broth prescribed for daily consumption by the Imperial Physician.

After taking a cautious sip, Su Xinyi responded with a smile, "You're too kind, Mother."
