The demon was about to attack again when he waved his hand and launched a single Fire Arrow toward it.

Bang!

The next moment, the demon's eyes widened, but he wasn't able to do anything else as the Fire Arrow had pierced its forehead, instantly snuffing out its life.

Thud!

A moment later, its lifeless body fell down with a thud, creating a small cloud of dust.

Again, Max's vision shifted, but since he wasn't looking at the demon, he didn't see the small ball of whitish energy flow out of the demon and rush into his chest. 

While his bloodline started purifying this clump of energy too, the merging process of the already purified death energy was completed and a small clump grayish pink appeared in his dantian.
