Chapter CXLVII - The Final Trial

Marcus turned and watched the event as RyuK approached the trapped wyvern and placed the gigantic egg right before Tarmenti's face. She forced a smile as a tear escaped her eye and ran down her cheek.

She stuck her tongue out, placing it on the egg, closing her eyes. Immediately following, her body began to burn, and embers of her scales began floating above her.

A massive gust of wind came from within her body, floating into the [Inert Egg]. Unbeknownst to the pair, she was giving up her life essence, passing it onto the offspring within the egg.

Before all of her life had left her, she roared loudly before whispering to the egg, "Meyz mul goraan gein, orwahl un brod ahrk kelnat nahkriin daar wo folaas mii!"

With her last word, her entire body disappeared with the orange embers, the tear dropping against the cold stone floor next to the egg. With the egg absorbing the soul of Tarmenti, a notification rang inside RyuK's head:
