Mariela's POV
"A handsome man is looking for you, Ella," Connie said as I put the pan on the sink.
"Did you tell him we are already close?" I asked.
"Of course, but he insisted that he wanted to speak with you." She responded.
"Kindly tell him we don't entertain anyone at this hour," I replied, and she released a heavy sigh.
"I already told him that, but he is very persistent, and he told me he won't go unless you will speak with him. Please, go and meet this guy; he said he needs to order something for his grandma's birthday." Connie said, and I felt touched; he was a man and desperate to order a cake at this hour for his beloved grandmother.
"I could tell he is a good man since he wanted to buy a cake for his grandmother, and he is so lucky that I've got sympathy for someone like him," I said, and Connie smiled at me as I discarded the apron from my body, and she continued wiping the pans.
