Chapter 113

I glare at the report in front of me as headaches start to appear. What is happening in Westeros?! Can't they just stay silent for more than two years?! Bloody hell.

"Westerland is on fire, the North is going to the south and clashing with Lannister, and Stormland is in a full-blown civil war."

It looks like the people of Stormland did not like being led by someone who allied with the Tyrell family because they still remember how they besieged the Storm's End city. It resulted in a civil war, and now two brothers fight to the death to see who will inherit their ancestor's land.

Lannister and the north clashing with each other is as expected. The Lannister executes Lord Stark, and the North wants vengeance.

The one that surprises me the most is that Westerland is on fire. How and why? I look at Bakir and say.

"Do you have any leads for this? Westerland is a huge place and burning half of their city is something I cannot comprehend. Not only does someone or a group of people burn Westerland, they also manage to kill all Lannister that stay in Westerland."

I know someone who is willing to do it, but I need evidence before jumping the gun. Truthfully, I don't really care about the burning of Westerland as long as they did not blame us for it, and we are good.

Targaryen is known for their burning thing behavior and united Westeros attacking Lunaria is not something I need right now.

"Bakir. Can you make sure the burning of Westerland is not because of us? I don't want the other to shift the blame to us and have a united Westeros coming to us."

"Of course, your highness. I will make a rumor that it was Tyrell who did it to make sure Lannister did not attack them."

"Good. Now, into the next thing. What should we do with the people that declare me as their king? If they are close, I can annoy them but they are too far away from us. We can't do that."

"You are right, your highness. This is a hard thing to solve."

We stay silent for a few minutes before I sigh and rub my forehead as a head attacks my head once again.

"We will think about the solution another day. For now, we need to take care of the–"

Before I can finish my sentences, I feel a mana spike in the air. I look to the north and frown a little. It was the same foul mana I felt when I visited Valyria. However, if before it was searing hot mana, this time, it was a chilling mana coming from the north.

"Your highness?"

"Huh?"

"Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing. I just feel some mana spike coming from the north."

"Mana spike? Should we send a group of Black Dogs to the north?"

"Yes. Sent a group fo Black Dogs and White Cats there. Tell them to investigate the mana spike and make sure to tell them to be careful. Their safety is the priority and if they encounter something wrong, they need to quickly retreat."

"Yes, your highness."

I nod my head, and we talk about the project I want to do.

|3rd POV|

Ten people walk through thick snow on their way.

"Brrr. This is supposed to be the longest summer but why does snow keep falling in this place?"

One of them complained as he cast a spell to warm his body.

These people are from Lunaria. They are members of Black Dogs and White Cats.

"Shut up, will you?" The woman wearing a thick white fur coat shouts at the man who is complaining. "We are here to investigate the mana spike his highness felt a week ago."

"I know but I can complain about the cold. You can't say that you did not feel it."

The woman did not answer his question because she knew the cold was also not normal. Even with the warming charm his highness invented, it cannot beat the cold.

"See? This cold is not normal. The warming charm his highness invented is supposed to last for three hours but it only lasts for an hour in this place. It is as if something is eating our spells."

The woman can only nod her head because she also notices it. Her mana inside of her did not decrease but the mana she released quickly disappeared as if something sucked them all.

"I guess that's why his highness told us to be careful in this place. Something's not right."

They notice something as they get deeper into the Land of Always Winter. They notice a group of humanoid creatures moving toward them. The ten of them quickly hides behind a massive boulder.

"What is that?"

What they see is a creature that looks like a human. However, their entire body is blue, and they look like corpses more than humans. These are the White Walker, the zombie that many stories in the north speak off.

However, ten of them did not know what kind of creature the White Walker was.

"What should we do? Should we get closer? Or should we stay here and retreat?"

One of them looks at their captain and waits for his order. After thinking for a few seconds, the captain says.

"We should get closer. As long as that thing is alone, we can take it. However, we need to capture it fast or I'm afraid it will–"

Before he could finish his sentences, the White Walker roared, and a few seconds later, a hundred more White Walkers appeared next to the previous one.

"... Call a reinforcement. Fuck. Retreat! They already noticed us! White Cats! Boost us!"

"Roger! [Lesser Boost]!"

Their bodies glow a little before they disappear. After the light is gone, all of them start to run away. However, the White Walkers chase after them. Lucky for the Black Dogs and the White Cats, White Walker is not as fast as them but unfortunately for them, the boost they receive from the buff spell quickly disappears.

"Again?! Dammit! We need to get out of here!"

One of the White Cats quickly casts another buff spell, and they continue to run. However, like before, the buff spell that supposedly lasts for five minutes only lasts for half a minute.

"We cannot keep doing this. I cannot keep boosting us."

The captain looked around for a few seconds before saying.

"No. We are already far enough. We will run out of mana before we could even reach our safe house if we keep using our magic. Let's move quickly."

They move through the jungle of frozen trees. However, after walking for a few minutes, they stop and look back. The captain widens his eyes and sees a group of White Walkers riding an undead horse charging toward them.

"Bloody hell! Two of you quickly go back to our ship and inform his highness there is something wrong in this place! The rest of you, we will hold these abominations."

The rest of them nod their head, and one Black Dog and one White Cat continue to run while the captain and seven people stay behind.

"Alright! We will take care of these bastards and get out of this cold place!"

The eight-man charges at the incoming horde of undead with their spell ready. Sadly, After fighting for three hours non-stop, only the captain was still standing. He is panting, and his body is full of wounds.

He looks at his comrade, who is turned into an undead, and grits his teeth.

"You bastard… It looks like you want to use our corpse, huh? I will not let you tarnish my friend's body."

The captain dashes forward toward his comrade and grins. His entire body releases a bright red light before his entire body explodes and creates a pillar of fire, killing himself and his comrade, who turned into undead.

The leader of the White Walker, the Night King, looks at the massive crater in front of him before looking at the enormous wall in the distance. He points his spear at the wall and then roars. The rest of his army starts to scream before slowly marching to the wall.

The conquest of the Night King begins anew.
