Kiyomori sat at his desk with a solemn look as he checked over documents. Izu served him tea while watching him closely, "Is it the Hi clan again?"

He placed the documents down, "They've gotten far more annoying ever since we became allies."

She glanced at the documents and snickered, "That young mistress is very fierce. I like her."

He rolled his eyes, "You two would get along too well."

She laughed, "You don't like her?"

"Of course not!" He crossed his arms with a huff, "Did you know she tried to marry my little brother!? How could she have the nerve to even try to marry into my Taira family?! To make everything worse, she wanted MY little brother to take HER last name!"

She stared at him for a moment before speaking slowly, "Is it wrong for a non-Taira person to marry into the family?"

He clicked his tongue, "As long as they are useful and don't mind taking the Taira name."
