“Do I really have to do this?”

I asked as I squirmed about in my dress. Kara and Sylvie went all out when choosing my clothing for this day. It was a red dress that supposedly complemented my eyes, with black frills at the edges and a black sash around the waist to keep it together.

Apparently, I had to look my very best, and this simple gown somehow allowed for that.

“Yes, my lady. If we really want to avoid becoming the middle ground for the humans and demons’ war, we’ll need to become allies with the Oxaivalon empire.”

Kara and Sylvie themselves were quite dressed up. Kara was in a white robe with a golden sash tied around her waist, and wore a golden necklace to match. Her purple hair was adorned with ornaments of silver and gold, making her almost glitter, yet her face remained natural and untouched by makeup.
