Karate Island #19

The announcer spoke up first. "Today is the final day and the finals will be starting soon but before that we will have the mixed martial arts competition. Here the rules are less strict, real blood will be shed within the ring and even lives will be lost. If you are of the faint of heart then I would advise you to come back for the remaining matches because this will be unlike anything you have seen so far."

Ann continued after him. "All of the contestants are having their bodies checked thoroughly along with any weapons they wish to bring on stage and with what has happened within previous competitions, we assure you all that no cheating will be happening from now on."

The stadium manager had tightened his security and made sure that no mistakes were made and none of his employees accepted any types of bribes.

He was especially more cautious with this competition in particular because each contestants lives could easily be forfeit with a single dirty trick.

Unlike the other competitions where most could hold back their strength and come out of the fights with minor injuries, this was a more brutal environment where many masters faced off from all types of backgrounds, age groups and possessed their own style of combat.

Alyssia finished having her body checked as she walked up on the stage that had been prepared after it had all been rearranged to become a large arena with many people within.

The red scarf slightly covered the lower half of her face and she carried no type of weapons or tools on her body, even with her current build and height that she had created with her efforts, she still looked less intimidating compared to the others.

She did not even have the metal arms protectors or greaves on her or hidden beneath her leg and arm warmers, her hands and feet had been wrapped with white cloth wraps as she walked almost barefoot onto the ring.

Ann continued. "This is a single round battle within this large arena where everyone will fight against each other. It is a test of each persons abilities but also their ability to survive until the end and come out as the final winner. Now it is about time that we put metal against flesh! Or swords against fists? Hmm.. that is not right. Well anyways let the battle begin when the last contestant steps onto the ring, those who fall from the arena or are knocked unconscious will be eliminated but please try to remove anyone lying in the middle of the ring as soon as possible to avoid them getting in the way of the battles going on. Please remember that this is your last chance to back out now!"

She took a breathe and then put on a stern tone. "Heavy injury and death is a big possibility and we cannot guarantee your safety. If you are not confident in yourself then I suggest you give up and do not let your pride get in the way and cause you harm."

Only one of two people who had slightly smaller builds exited the arena after her warning after sizing up everyone in the rings but much to the crowds expectations, Alyssia remained.

"Wow... she actually stayed."

"But.. this contestant is so young.. do you think?"

"I do not know, perhaps we are wrong to think so?"

"This year there have been many upsets so we cannot be so quick to judge but I cannot help but worry for the young ones."

"Aish.. poor girl."

Meanwhile the match quickly begun as the final contestant stepped onto the stage when suddenly the crowd began to go wild.

"Aaaah"

"Its..."

"Ki...kii"

"Killer!"

Among the many people that were within the up and coming strong people within Karate Island, Killer of the future Kid Pirates was quite well known for his spinning blades and his combat abilities.

Alyssia looked across the ring towards him and looked at the weapons in his hands which he had gripped tightly.

The razer sharp blades which could rotate at a high speed and could even tear into Kaido once he had begun to get more experience with in the New World for two years during the time skip.
