Chapter 68

Stark Building, Top Floor.

Abel stood before the expansive French windows, gazing out at the New York skyline. He couldn't help but exclaim at the stunning view.

Just then, Tony approached with two cups, handing one filled with soda water to Abel while he took a sip from his own glass of amber wine.

After tasting the soda, Abel remarked to Tony, "The scenery here is incredible, but I assume this building—especially the top floor—offers more than just a nice view, right?"

Tony smiled and nodded. "Of course! I never do mediocre things. Unlike that imitator, Hammer, who just copies me and ends up with boring, unsellable weapons riddled with issues."

Abel chuckled, shaking his head. "But Hammer Industries is still a cooperative military enterprise. Isn't that a bit inappropriate?"

Shrugging, Tony downed his drink and said, "Let's not focus on Hammer Industries. Just wait for his exhibition at my Stark Industries Fair in a couple of weeks. You'll see just how ridiculous his creativity is.

On another note, I have my suspicions that Hammer might be colluding with Obadiah. If he really had the capability to develop the technology behind the core energy of the Iron Soldiers, he wouldn't have been so easily suppressed at past military meetings.

Plus, looking at it from another angle, he managed to get Obadiah transferred to federal prison and even orchestrated a rescue from there."

Setting down his cup, Abel asked Tony seriously, "So, do you have any evidence?"

Tony sighed and shook his head. "No, otherwise I wouldn't be here trying to dig up his past.

But forget that for now. I want to show you something interesting that the one-eyed director of S.H.I.E.L.D. sent me. It's said to be something my father left behind.

After my research, I discovered something intriguing. If I can make it work, I might solve the palladium poisoning issue and develop a new, efficient energy core."

Abel, piecing it together, guessed what Tony was referring to.

As expected, Tony snapped his fingers and called for J.A.R.V.I.S. A blue laser projected an atomic structure in front of them, radiating a blue glow.

"This is the structural projection of the new element. According to my calculations, it could produce significantly more energy than palladium and, importantly, it's clean and efficient. Once created, it should completely resolve the palladium poisoning in my body."

Seeing that Tony had genuinely embarked on creating a new element eased Abel's worries. "Tony, I genuinely congratulate you! This will free you from life-threatening troubles."

"Yes, that's the hope," Tony replied. "But I need to thank you first. If you hadn't helped me prolong my life and alleviate my suffering, I might not have had the time to finish this. I truly appreciate it."

"No need for all the thanks. If you really want to show gratitude, could you lend me some space to process and create something?"

Abel's request piqued Tony's curiosity. "What do you plan to make? Is it some sort of new potion?"

"It's not a potion; I'm going to craft a brand-new wand."

"A magic wand!"

Tony's eyes widened with intrigue. His Mark Ω anti-magic armor design was still just a draft. He had intended to invite Abel to collaborate on this armor but had hesitated, unsure how Abel would respond to magic-related matters.

Now, hearing that Abel planned to create a new wand, Tony felt a surge of excitement and curiosity.

"Um... Abel, of course, there's no problem with you using the space. Didn't I mention before? This is where you'll conduct your potion and magic studies from now on. I can provide you with all the support you need. While modern technology can't replace everything, it will undoubtedly assist your magical research."

Abel looked at Tony in surprise. "Support? But your tone suggests it's not just a minor request."

"Well, it's slightly bigger than a small request... J.A.R.V.I.S., show Abel the Omega Project."

J.A.R.V.I.S. projected a light curtain in front of Abel, displaying the Omega Project documents.

As Abel scanned the planning document and rough design sketches, he quickly understood what Tony meant by "small request."

"Mark Ω Anti-Magic Battlegear? Tony, you're really a genius."

"Exactly! As you can see, I need a magician's help, and you're the only one I know."

Tony watched Abel cautiously, unsure whether he would agree. If not, the plan would remain on hold.

After reviewing the documents thoroughly, Abel slowly nodded. "Tony, your plan is aimed at other wizards; even if they want to assist, they might not be able to. But for me, it's different. The magic system I've inherited can actually help you. This Mark Ω anti-magic armor is destined to be completed by the two of us."

"So, does that mean you agree?"

"Yes, I agree. But first, I need to construct my new magic wand. Otherwise, even if I want to help you, it will be quite difficult."
