The Sudden Encounter (1)

"We met again, little lady," Mister said.

"Hello, Kind Mister," I greeted. Contrary to the last time, I could see Kind Mister's face even though he had a cloak. He had beautiful jet-black hair parted along with the middle and golden eyes that appeared to be the reflection of the Sun. Plus, he gave off a powerful aura.

He chuckled, and then looked at Papa, "You must be her father. I met this little lady at the festival. "Papa didn't answer Kind Mister. He just stared at him, frowning. It seemed like Papa disliked Kind Mister.

"I see," Kind Mister murmured, "Little lady's father is mute. I apologized; I didn't notice."

"For someone of your age, you are a bit stupid. Oh! Perhaps your brain hasn't reached maturity. I apologized, I didn't notice," Papa sneered.

Seriously, these two grown-ups! Even Kind Mister is behaving like a child. Please act according to your age! "Papa, he is the Mister that helped me during the festival," I said, changing the topic.

"Yeah, I remembered," Papa whispered.

"Kind Mister, this is my Papa Atlas," I introduced, "and I'm Brielle."

"Brielle... it's a nice name." Mister praised me. Because of that, I blushed.

"Then what is your name, Kind Mister?" I asked.

"My name is Ian," he replied. Ian? Where did I hear that name again?

"Ian...Sir Ian!" I blurted.

Mister leaned in close and said, "Yes, that's right, Brielle. Wow! He smells really good. Not to mention, at a closer distance he is handsome. I never imagined that there was someone who could be as handsome as Papa.

"Are you done chatting? We need to go," Papa intervened.

"If you don't mind, I would like to dine with you two. There is a restaurant nearby that sells cakes and hot chocolates," Sir Ian invited.

"Cakes and chocolates?!" Oops, I got excited. Cakes and chocolates- hearing those words made my mouth water. Rich humans ate that in fancy restaurants.

"That's right, cakes and choco—" Before Sir Ian finished what he was about to say, Papa walked ahead, leaving Sir Ian behind.

"Using food to lure you. What a bastard!" Papa exclaimed with disgust.

"Papa, bad word!" I scolded Papa. He averted his gaze from mine. He knows he's wrong, but he refuses to admit it. I held Papa's head to look straight at me however he continued to resist. At the end, we burst out laughing, realizing how ridiculous what we were doing was.

"Wait up!" We looked back and saw Sir Ian.

"Look if you don't like to go to the restaurant, maybe we could just treat Brielle's wound. "He gave a worried look upon mentioning my wounded feet. "I happened to see it while you walked away," Sir Ian continued.

Papa glanced at my feet and asked, "Is it still hurting?"

My wounds were not serious. It was just uncomfortable. Perhaps, within three days it will heal. "It didn't hurt. Just a bit uncomfortable," I replied. For a second, Papa analyzed the situation and then decided to take the offer of Sir Ian, despite the fact it's against his will.

We arrived promptly because the location was close. A gate clads in gleaming silver and ornamented with ruby stones stood at the establishment's entrance. It was more elegant than the capital center's Jewelry Shop. The name of the shop was inscribed in the upper center of the establishment. I stared at it for a while, trying to read the shop's name.

"Teres Maximo," Sir Ian whispered. He must have noticed that I'm gazing at it. How embarrassing! Sir Ian laughed after he saw my reaction. As a result, Papa threw him a death stare.

Before entering the establishment, there were three knights, clothed in black uniform and carrying a sword, approached Sir Ian. The blue-haired knight, who appeared to be the knight's leader, happened to make eye contact with me. To my surprise, I hid on Papa's shoulder. I peeked a glance to see if the knight was still there. As I lifted my head, Sir knight was smiling at me, waving his hand.

Slap! Sir Ian slapped the knight's hand, making his hand turn red.

"Your Maje-," the knight stopped talking after Sir Ian glared at him, "... Master, why did you hit me?"

"Helden, you looked like a perverted old man. It's not good to be seen by the child," Sir Ian said.

"Pfft, you are the same. Don't act innocent," Papa mocked. The rest of the knights secretly laughed at Papa's words. On the other hand, Sir Ian was holding his anger beyond a smile.

"Please pardon us. We need to discuss some private matters. You can proceed inside; someone will assist you," Sir Ian stated.
