Omake 21: Vtuber Galore (3)

"So, no streaming?" The tiny Shark girl asked while I tried to make sense of how to not just pull her in a big hug with how adorbs she is. Gawr Gura was one of the most renowned due to her personality, memes based on her streams, and her singing voice. White hair with blue highlights, the short girl was wearing a 'shark outfit' with a matching hat.

"Nope, sorry."

It almost felt awkward to reply with that, especially with the ensuing pout on her face. But just as I answered that, I was met with a sight from a certain 'gremlin'.

"Heh, it's alright. Videos are still a nice way to make an income," The blonde detective answered with a bright smile, her blue eyes failing to show any hesitation with this comment. "Plus, there are so many other games we can try out together with our 'senpais'."

Amelia Watson, human investigator, was wearing quite the 'detective outfit' akin to the more renowned fictional character bearing her same last name. Light-tan raincoat, parted open to reveal her white, buttoned shirt and her complex-patterned brown/light-tan skirt.

"Hmm, but I love streaming while drawing," Mini-Cthulhu replied while checking on her notepad. "It's kind of sad, but I guess there's not much to do."

The brilliant artist, the tentacled punster of legend, Ina'nis Ninomae was literally a mini-Cthulhu with violet hair that matched the same shade of her eyes and extra tendrils. She was wearing a petite purple dress with a pair of wings arching around as if forming a pseudo-skirt. Despite her appearance and nature would warrant some nervousness from those that had read Lovecraft, those that had the chance to see her streams knew that she was an adorable girl.

"Sorry girls, I should have really set a teleport point back home before pulling you all with me," Calli apologized nervously, a grimace on her face as she barely fought back the tight hugging she was being subjected to from a certain KFC-loving Phoenix idol. The girl had pale-pink hair that trailed down until her mid-back, and soft red-eyes. She was wearing a full black outfit with a dress that reached down in a half-skirt which revealed part of her right leg. It gave an opening to her cleavage, but it wasn't that scandalous considering how limited that window was. She was also donning a slightly-tattered cloak. Her scythe was resting on the side of the couch, just at her hand-reach in case things got a bit too hasty on their sides.

"It's alright. This place is still… nice? I think?" Amelia argued, still unsure what to think of their current location.

"Thank you," Sienna mirthfully replied, knowing well enough it wasn't a legitimate compliment, but that seemed to be enough to gain a little awkward look out of the blonde. She had just returned to bring some more coffee, and I took this opportunity to check how the situation was faring with the others while she handled the rest of the 'diplomatic' situation. "By the way, John told me that you were one of these individuals that likes to… ground pound a specific kind of person. Care to explain to me how this works?"

Despite not looking at Amelia, I could perceive the degree of dread going through her at being cornered with that question. Sienna was, after all, a mom. Humming quietly, I stopped just in time to see quite the disaster unfolding within the room.

"I-I swear I didn't touch anywhere near that fridge!" Pekora exclaimed while trying to make sense of what Moona was doing to fix the fiery disaster unfolding in the kitchen. The fridge somehow had caught on fire while she had been around it. She didn't touch it or anything, but it suddenly burned up and created some flames. Moona was expertly using the fire extinguisher we had mentioned having within the room in case of accidents, but I was perplexed by how that fire had happened.

Looking around, I realized that the two weren't the only ones in the room. A third individual was trying her best to not appear suspicious regarding the happening and was 'calmly' reading some upside-down newspapers. I silently approached her and took a seat beside her. She noticed but did her best to not appear guilty of anything.

"So… are you tied to this, Kanata?"

The little angel kept quiet for a while, clearly knowing she had been caught but… she huffed.

"I didn't mean to break it."

"I'm sure you didn't," I replied quietly. "But still, how about you apologize to poor Pekora who thinks this is but another of her war crimes?"

The PP tenshi giggled at that and sighed. "Fine but… Am I in trouble?"

"I suppose you're up to pay for the fridge and the fire extinguisher."

"Aw… wait, nothing more?"

I shrugged. "You didn't mean it. Had it been a prank, I would've done more."

"Oh," She hummed before nodding. "I guess I can do that, yes."

I smiled and patted her head, gaining her irritation since she was much older than she appeared and she didn't really like being called short, brat, or… well, 'cutting board'. I looked around for a while before deciding to start preparing something for lunch.

Things really were getting more and more complicated the more Sienna and I tried to make sense of this chaotic escalation. The only ones of the family that were 100% delighted with this were Nora, Ren, and Cinder. The latter one was a surprise, but she seemed quite interested in Coco's dragon-like nature and what it implied in terms of power. Then again, I was sure some of the idols seemed more 'relieved' of the fact they were free to pursue this career with ease… while a good part was still nostalgic about home.

If only they knew that two big shots were on the way to recover them...
