Prison Break

"Kai, Louis and Niklaus are all missing? Is that what your telling me?" Vincent asked as he walked up to the demon.

"Has anyone else suddenly disappeared?"

"No sir" the demon replied.

"Leave" Vincent ordered.

All three demon lords left the office for closer inspection of the situation.

"Riley, Kai, Louis and Niklaus are now all unaccounted for and then there is this abnormal phenomena. I can't help but think a storm is coming" Kerr said.

"For once, I agree" Darien replied as all three demon lords gazed at the chaos around.

Dimension prison demons were appearing everywhere and destroying everything and anyone in sight.

'Riley…it's time to wake up' a strange voice rang in my mind.

'What happened to me?' I asked.

'It was your awakening. Your demon side has now awakened Riley' the voice said.

'Who are you?' I asked but the only response I got was when I felt a slight kiss on my head.

Riley slowly opened his eyes and looked around. Lincoln, Kai, Niklaus and Louis were all comfortable sleeping closely beside Riley on the bed.

Riley who had been unconscious with a high fever was still very aware of everything that happened during his unconsciousness. He could hear what was going on around him. Now that his fever is down and he is finally awake he glances at all the boys that kept him safe with a gentle smile.

Riley somehow felt different and he knew while unconscious his body went through something strange. He could now hear, smell, see and move more swiftly. It was like his level of awareness went up drastically. Was this what that voice meant by my demon side awakening?

"Your awake.." a sleepy looking Kai said as he inched closer to Riley and nuzzled his nose in the crook of his neck.

"Hello Kai" Riley said in a voice that was even unfamiliar to himself. It has more volume now and even sounds commanding.

Kai who just now heard him, thought it was beautiful and suited him quite well.

"You know my name" Kai said blushing lightly.

"Of course, I could feel you holding me the entire time I was unconscious" Riley smirked.

Kai hid his face in Riley's neck refusing to look at him. Riley pulled the boy closer so that he was now resting on his bare chest. Kai delightfully allowed it as he stayed in his embrace.

Soon Niklaus awoke and then everyone else after. Riley got dressed in his uniform.

"Young master, how are you feeling?" Lincoln asked.

"I'm absolutely fine, thank you everyone" Riley said with a smile and a tilt of his head to the side.

Riley's sharp gaze turned to the ceiling above them and he narrowed his eyes.

"Something is coming…" Riley said drawing the attention of the boys.

"What is it?" Niklaus asked as he was now on full alert.

"Get down now!" Riley shouted and everyone complied immediately.

Suddenly the roof above then was torn off as if by an invisible force. The whole building started shaking and the floors and walls cracked up.

"What the heck is going on?" Kai yelled above the noise.

"I think it's a quake, a really big one" Louis said trying to remain as steady as possible.

"A quake doesn't tear the whole roof off!" Kai exasperatedly shouted.

"It'll be fine Kai" Riley said patting his head like he was petting his puppy. Nevertheless, he calmed down when Riley did that.

After a few minutes it finally stopped shaking. When the boys looked around it was as if the beautiful mansion never existed and all that was left is desolation.

"Guys…look up" Niklaus said. All around was portals opening and closing. Things passing through some portals and things falling from them.

"What is happening…is someone messing with the space magic that created this place?" Lincoln asked no one in particular.

"What do you mean?" Louis asked.

"Cracks in space, that is what's causing this strange occurrence. This could only happen if someone is deliberately trying to forcefully escape from this dimension prison and is opening a doorway to somewhere else, somewhere outside this space" Lincoln said.

"A doorway outside this space? Do you mean like the one in the orientation hall…" Kai asked.

"That's right, we all passed through it to get to here didn't we" Louis said in realization.

"I don't know what or where I passed through. I blocked out all my other senses and focused on my sense of smell to find Riley's scent" Niklaus admitted shamelessly.

It was because of his heightened senses and the fact that he didn't allow his eyes to fool him with a false perception, that he was able to find Riley when other specialized shapeshifters could not. They relied upon all their senses and when they came to the orientation hall they were fooled by the perception that it was a dead end.

"Well if thats the case then someone is trying to get to your school by using the doorway they opened. Actually, by the looks of it, its not just one person that is doing this and not just one gateway that is now opened" Lincoln confirmed.

"You said this is a dimension prison, that means everyone placed here are prisoners that did something pretty awful and now they are breaking out to go to our school" Kai said with slight panic.

"Yes. And I doubt they'll be quiet" Lincoln affirmed.

"Doesn't that mean your a prisoner as well?" Louis asked Lincoln.

"Yes, I was sent here a long time ago and placed under a powerful sleeping spell for over hundreds of years" Lincoln said nonchalantly.

"What broke the spell?" Kai asked.

"Actually, that was my doing" Riley said as if it was a simple task.

"Oh well, who cares if he's a prisoner" Niklaus said with boredom in his yellow eyes.

Louis and Kai after seeing Riley and Niklaus's reactions just happily dropped the subject like nothing happened.

"Right now we have to get back to school. I'm sure by now things have already gotten chaotic over there and we must have also been reported missing along with Riley" Kai said and the boys all nodded in agreement.

"How do we get back though? We need that key Lincoln was talking about, don't we?" Louis asked.

"Not anymore, because of the current situation we only just need to wait until this space is completely broken. However, by staying here we also will be putting ourselves in a dangerous situation. We not only have to worry about being attacked by prisoners but we need to take in account the dangers of the many portals opening and closing. Something quite scary could come out of any one of those portals and we could also be trapped in them" Lincoln informed.

"I see. Well if that's the case then lets all try to stay together, okay" Riley said with a bright smile.

"It won't be that easy, anything could happen and we could get separated—"

Kai was cut off by Riley hugging him from behind, "No matter what happens. You will stay with me, won't you Kai?"

Kai felt restless but his answer was as clear as ever.

"Of course I will"
