"King Holmes, I will begin shortly. Would you like to say anything before the execution commences?" I was still looking only at the crowd, not at anyone seated at the table I was at before. I didn't want to lose my nerve before I finished this task.

I heard Holmes clear his throat as he rose to his feet. The gentle scraping of his chair told me what his actions were, before his voice filled the room.

"You have all witnessed treason this evening. An honored guest of mine was mistreated by the open hostility from my own people. I have welcomed Princess Addison and Prince Nolan into our kingdom because I believe in what they are doing. In what their mission is. Not only have these people attacked her physically, and verbally, but they also attacked me, and my authority."
