Lowly peasants falling in love with the divine princess is a story we've heard too often, but what if the princess loves him back? Unbeknownst to his family and friends, Theodore Preston, the son of a failing noble house, is in a relationship with the secret first princess of his kingdom. Because of his low social status, the two lovers will have to face great adversities in their love story. What's worse is that the princess will be soon married off to a rich noble, ripping her away from Theodore. When all hope seems to be lost, Theodore stumbles upon the Nation Duel Tournament, the winner of which will receive the title of Knight, enough to make Theodore suitable for his lover. However, Theodore is not the most experienced in combat, yet he will have to face off with the nation's finest. Will the power of love drive him to his improbable victory?
As Theo had expected, his three duels went by uneventfully. There weren't a lot of adversities, but Theo could tell that his opponents had gotten significantly better than the first round. All of them required a couple of back and forths for Theo to gain the high ground and take complete control.
This time, Theo went to the spectating room and watched the other fights. There were even more spectators this time than the previous day. Almost every walkway was totally crowded. Within the masses, Theo couldn't make out Bella and the others, but he knew that they were there. Almost all the peasants knew Theo's name by now, along with some other contestants. They were chanted onto the field every time they entered. The nobles were no different, excluding Gabriel, though, for some reason. It felt like nobody knew who he was, which made sense to Theo as his identity was supposed to be kept a secret after all.
