"That is… right. Yes. I can." Laplace accepted without any denial.
"How far can you see?" Liberi asked.
"Why would I answer that? Only me and the King know about it." Laplace won't tell how far in the future he could see. Not to Liberi, at least.
Liberi knew that too. "Right. Thanks for telling anyway."

"Enough talking." Apollo cut through the chatter and stared at Liberi.
"Do you think you can stall for time by talking?"
Liberi shook his head. "I have no intention of doing that. I was just really curious."
"Don't try to be oversmart." Apollo kicked Liberi's face.
"Hey Demon," Apollo called. "Where did we leave him?"
Laplace smiled. "With a broken ankle."
"Right. I was tearing his leg."
Apollo's lips broke into a smile as he bent down and grabbed Liberi's broken ankle again.
"This is for my hand from before."
