"Look at him ready to run away from my mother. I'm going to introduce myself to Aurora and will be ready to start work right away." Personally, Jane wanted Derek gone tonight to avoid him being there when her mother visits for dinner. She planned to have a conversation with her mother to stop visiting their home because she was sticking her nose in their business. She knew her mother might think Derek was the one asking her to do this which was why she didn't want him there.

"What's wrong honey? You look conflicted. Did someone trouble you on your way here? Tell me and I'll make them pay right now." Derek always knew when something was wrong with his wife though others said they couldn't read her. She often played with her nails when she was nervous about something.
