Chapter 72: A seed of hatred

"There you are," Nathaniel uttered relieved to find Omar at the rooftop.

He put his heart to rest. Slowly, he ambled down towards the darkling. Worried for Omar, Nate wished circumstances were different. And he could embrace Omar to comfort him.

"I was worried you might do something stupid," Nathaniel stopped, he didn't know how to approach Omar. The man must have so much running through his mind. Nate didn't know if it was right for him to be there. "Perhaps we should head inside," he suggested. Scared that Omar might have some troubling thoughts of jumping off the roof.

The man stood so close to the edge for comfort. However Omar didn't respond or move an inch.

"I get that you are confused; I would be too but you shouldn't do anything stupid, Om," he let out trying to reach the darkling.

"Don't worry, I would throw you off this roof first before I ever think of jumping off," Omar stated firmly.
