“That’s putting it mildly. Is that the reason why the two of you are looking like a couple of little boys who’ve lost a battle against some raw ingredients and kitchen condiments?”
Rohan was mortified upon hearing that, and he was also still annoyed at Diego. Breakfast was meant to be a romantic first step in courting Percy, but it had quickly turned into an unmitigated disaster. Rohan couldn’t comprehend how everything had gone wrong so quickly. It wasn’t as if he had never cooked anything in his thirty years.
“It’s all Diego’s fault.”
Diego harrumphed as he narrowed his eyes at Rohan. “Excuse me? I told you we should start with the pancakes and work our way down the list, but your stubborn ass decided we should do everything all at once.”
“I wanted to save us time—”
“And look how well everything turned out. Great job, Ro!”
