Chapter 35 - Make it Double!

I couldn't help but grin as the familiar form appeared. The battle raged on, and bolts of magic flew from both sides. I ignored the sounds of screaming and shouting as I examined my new summon.

A black and gray bodysuit covered the man in front of me, obscuring what I knew was blond hair, gray-blue eyes, and a scar that ran along his face. He was masked with the upper half being gray with white sockets and the lower half that covered his mouth being black. The suit looked similar to that of power rangers and wasn't really intimidating or scary or something you'd expect to see in the middle of a battle, but I knew just how dangerous and powerful the person in front of me was,

Twice, member of the league of Villians. The one-man army.

"Just in time, Twice," I said, grinning. "You ready."

He nodded and gave me a thumbs up. "Of course I am boss, Just let me at em."

I turned back to look over the battlefield just in time to see another soldier come up over the wall. Without any commands, Migi transformed into a bladed whip and cut the man's throat sending him tumbling backwards.

"Twice," I said, turning back to him. I grinned and feel my excitement grow as I said the next words "Hit them with a sad man's parade."

"Order received," He said saluting in a dramatic pose before he held his hands out.

Asara had defeated her enemies for the time being and was looking at Twice with a confused expression, clearly wondering where the masked man had come from. I motioned for her to watch to which she nodded, leaning on her weapon, but still keeping an eye out for any approaching enemies.

A mud-like substance began to pour from Twice's outstretched hands and a moment later two copies of himself appeared next to him. I heard a gasp from Asara but didn't say anything. If she thought that was impressive then she was about to get the shock of her life.

Twice's power came from his quirk, a superpower-like ability, most people, in his world had. His ability allowed him to create an exact duplicate of anything, whether it was living or not. In order for him to duplicate something, he needed to know the exact measurements and characteristics. He was limited to only two duplications at a time and the duplicates weren't as durable as the original with the second duplicate being even less durable than the first.

At first many would think Twice's quirk double wasn't that powerful since he could only make two clones and even if he could make clones of people, they would never be as strong as the original, but there was one thing that made him extremely powerful. His doubles also had the same quirk which meant they could create two doubles and on and on. His power essentially allowed him to create infinite doubles of himself to drown his enemies with.

The two clones held their arms out and made another two who then made another two and on and on It went until a flood of clones appeared. The battlements grew packed and with a quick mental command, I sent them over the wall.

"Keep the army back. Support our allies," I commanded.

Most of the clones immediately were destroyed by bolts of magic or arrows but it didn't matter. More and more kept flowing over the wall, and after only two minutes a tide of twice clones poured over the enemy.

I couldn't help but laugh as I turned to Asara who had a dumbfounded look on her face mixed with fear, which wasn't a surprise. Twice had the power to topple nations. Unlimited clones, even if they weren't as strong as the original, was quite the power.

"How..." She muttered, barely loud enough to be heard over the din of the ongoing battle.

"Attack!"

"Losers! I'll show you a true army!"

"Get them."

"Hey, you stepped on my foot!

"Idiot that was him not me!"

"Eat this!"

"It's time for a massacre"

"Charge!"

"We will not lose!"

I sighed and chuckled at the twice clones. He had quite the personality or personalities should I say. Out of all the summons I'd been expecting I'd never thought it would be him, but I sure as hell wasn't complaining. He was going to be very useful, and after this battle, I would get him to learn more about my other summons so he could summon lesser versions of them.

"Thank you system," I muttered.

The flood of twice clones continued and I looked over the wall to see the front lines of the enemy on our side literally drowning in twice clones. The clones fell by the hundreds but they just keep on coming and coming. There was no way to stop it without killing the original and even if they did I would be able to summon him again after a certain amount of time.

"Twice! I'm leaving this section to you," I shouted. "I'm counting on you... friend"

They all turned to me and even if they were wearing masks I could see the smiles on their faces. "Don't worry boss. We'll deal with these idiots. Won't we?"

"Yeah!" came a chorus of replies as the flood of clones continued.

I turned to Asara and motioned for her to follow. "Come on. Let's head to the other side. He's got this."

She nodded, still looking dumbfounded and shocked.

----

The princess's army had never expected things to end up like this with an army of men in skintight suits to flood them. After the death of their princess, many had felt cheated and wronged. They had been promised many things and had put their lives on the line only to be met with failure and with nowhere to go. That was until the duke had taken them in and with their anger and rage still, fresh they had easily accepted his idea of revenge against the one called Nathan Storm. In their minds, it was all his fault that things had turned out as they had and if they killed the traitor then things would turn out better, and they would receive what they had been promised. Whether that was land, titles, or just gold.

When the army had been transported and told of their objective and the trap, many had already considered the battle won and had marched with a disciplined yet easy step. When the walls had come into sight and news had been spread that the false king himself was there, the walking march had turned into a jog then a run. The problem was in front of them, within their sights and the anger and rage pushed the soldiers ahead.

The battle began and despite the unusual enemies like the wyvern or skeleton knight they were going strong and it seemed as though they would overwhelm their enemy, That was until men dressed in skintight suits of black and grey began to fall from the sky. It started with a few at first and they were easily dealt with, turning into a mud-like substance when they died, confusing the soldiers but not stopping them. However, a few quickly turned into dozen then hundred until eventually thousands and thousands of the same figure began to pour from the wall. They weren't hard to kill as they had no weapons or armor, but there seemed to be an endless amount of them

A group of mages was literally drowned due to the number and others simply had no room to move, and the constant impacts quickly added up. Kords and mages tried to use large-scale attacks but it didn't matter. All they accomplished was harming their one allies that had been trapped and the defeated enemies were simply replaced. They quickly found themselves on the backfoot Unable to pass against an enemy with an endless horde at their disposal.

One man in particular, with the rank of captain and a much more powerful aura than most, gazed out at the wall and frowned. He knew that there must be a source to the endless horde and if he found it then it would stop. He readied his hammer and jumped into a section of the enemy, bringing his hammer down and sending them flying in all directions. He smiled then cursed as a fist impacted the side of his face. It didn't do any damage but was still an annoyance. He backhanded the gray enemy and it turned into mud.

He turned away, only to be met with another fist. He growled, then yelped as a kick hit him in the groin. Even with his enhanced durability, it still hurt though not as much as it would have for a normal person. He swung his hammer around, clearing the area around him, but it did no good. The sky above suddenly turned dark, and he looked up. His eyes went wide as he realized that a wave of enemies was blocking out the sun from above him. The look of shock was the last thing visible before he was drowned in enemies.
