"I failed, right?"

Ernesto awkwardly looked at his father as he shamelessly wanted his help because he couldn't just leave and not get into the academy, or else he would go crazy for returning as a mindless child. He couldn't even trust Watson to do the mission alone, because how can a mischievous blue wolf convince a dryad to voluntarily lead them to the world tree?

Jose Oliva sighed. He felt irritated at seeing Ernesto staring at him with such adorable eyes, as if begging him to fix his son's failure. He avoided Ernesto's eyes and looked at Duke Allan, which annoyed him even more.

Duke Allan stood beside him with a proud look. He was not speaking, but his face was literally saying, "My son is the best!"

Jose never expects anything from Ernesto because he knows how bad his son is at studying, but he never expects that Ernesto knows too little to pass the basic exam.
