Chapter 86: Chief Joseph's Talk

The train arrived, and Sue got off to see Rayan waiting for her on the platform. When he saw her, he ran to her and hugged her.

“Apologies, Sue. Apologies, my love,” He said.

Sue pulled him away and asked, “How did you know when will I arrive?”

He kept his hands around her, and he said, “I called Leah. I told her that we have a meeting today for my case, and I want to make sure when you will arrive.” He was talking to her and running his fingers through her hair. Then he said, “Your short hair suits you as well, Sue. I was mistaken,” he laughed.

When Sue was dating Rayan, he always told her that she had the most beautiful hair. It was long and dark as night with white strips. He used to say, “Sue, your hair is a reflection of the sky in the night. Promise me, you would never cut it short.”
