"Everyone… move."
Just like professional bodyguards, each and every one of them moved accordingly and in coordination. Peterson, who was just dragged along, was forced to match their movements and steps.
One mistake caused him several glares, mostly from Jill. It was bad for the heart, so he tried so hard to not miss the timing of a single step.
They walked in a straight line with two rows. The ones in front were Prof, Aoi, Jill and Chess. The rest were following behind with Peterson right behind Chess.
At this moment, Chess asked something to Prof who was walking beside him.
"Aren't you not allowed to step inside the university grounds?"
He asked because that's where they are heading right now. Instead of the old and rusty gate deep into the forest, they were heading towards the fence gate that Jill had always been guarding. They are heading towards the university.
Prof remained looking forward even while answering Chess. Because Peterson was right behind Chess, he slightly overheard their conversation.
"We aren't going there as the Section 0. We are going there as the bodyguard of a VIP, so it's fine."
Chess nodded his head and remained silent afterwards.
Although Peterson didn't understand what they were talking about, one thing entered his mind.
'Section 0.'
That's the only thing he learned by coming here. Though he don't plan on continuing the spy job he took, he still was curious about these people. He wanted to know why someone was willing to pay a huge sum of money just to know something about these crazy people.
'Who are they?' he wanted to know.
However, he had no time to think about it. All he could think of is escape, escape and escape. That's why, when they finally reached the fence gate, he nervously scanned the area.
They just exited a forest.
Earlier, he entered through the forest through here too.
If you're asking how he managed to do it, he sneaked into the university. Yes, he made a guard sleep while he was patrolling outside. He managed to do it because the guard is already old and didn't fought that much. If the guard was someone who is buff and big, he wouldn't stand a chance.
And he's just lucky that the guard was patrolling alone.
His conscience was eating him, but his family is more important than any other stranger, so he still knocked the old guard down and sneaked inside.
Now that he thinks about it, the area is really wide. He just managed to find the forest because the trees were tall enough to be noticed, but if they weren't, he would probably be lost.
A few more minutes passed before they finally reached the center of the university grounds.
There were students scattered with their casual clothes on. These students are probably the ones who stays at the dorms.
Chess made sure to hide his face. It'd be bad if someone saw him, especially now that everyone turned their eyes on them.
Who wouldn't?
Eight men appeared out of nowhere with weird masks on their faces, wearing suits? It's simply eye catching.
But not too long, a man appeared.
He was a tall, but thin, man, probably on his early 40's.
This person is the VIP.
The students also recognized him as one of the university's board members, one of the higher ups.
With that thought in mind, they immediately averted their gazes. Some still took glances on the weird masked men, while the others completely ignored them like they were invisible.
It was an advantage for Chess. It would lessen the risk of being recognized by his classmates on Section 1 – B, if there are any around.
The VIP stood in front as he examined each and every one of them. It was like he's doing a head count. Then, with a look of satisfaction, he turned around and started walking towards the gate. He walked gracefully, like a respected businessman.
"Let's go." Even his tone is that of a businessman.
The eight masked men followed behind. Their movements were all synchronized, making it hard for the students to ignore. And it wasn't just because of their movements. It was because of their builds and auras too.
They felt handsome.
At one corner, Hans, who just exited the cafeteria with foods in one hand, noticed the commotion on the university grounds.
It was not a commotion, as in a commotion. It's just that, the people are walking so slowly while turning their heads on one side, making it look a little crowded. All of them looked like they were eager to catch a glimpse of something.
And because of curiosity, Hans followed their line of sight.
And there, something caught his eyes.
'Hmn…? That back looks familiar?'
It would be impossible if it was someone else, but Hans was a keen observer. Especially when his rival, Chess, is involved.
He had observed his habits, his small gestures, and others. He also had his back pictured in his head because he always glared at Chess whenever he had the chance.
And now… he recognized that back.
But…
Maybe he was wrong?
Chess moved gently. He was someone who never seemed arrogant or breezy. But the back he's currently looking at seemed to hold that aura.
Arrogant. High and Mighty. The aura of a person who would easily step on you if he wanted to.
With that, Hans shook his head and just started walking away.
It was impossible that Chess had that kind of aura. Maybe he's just hungry.
While Hans was thinking of that, Chess continued walking beside Prof. He felt someone staring at him, but he didn't panic. He didn't feel nervous at all.
He's sure that no one would be able to recognize him right now. Even if it was the kids from the orphan.
"Everyone." The VIP spoke once they reached the parked black cars in front of the gate.
They all lifted their heads and stood like they were the Queen's Life Guards. They were stationary.
"Do your job well."
They all bowed their heads in unison. Even Peterson didn't dare to make a mistake. He felt like something really bad would happen if he failed now.
Prof, who would drive the VIP, stepped a foot and opened the door. The VIP entered immediately while Prof threw the others a glance. It was a glance that's reminding them of what they should and should not do.
When his gaze fell on Peterson, sweats started forming in the person's forehead. Prof's eyes remained on him for three seconds. Then, Prof finally closed the door as he started walking towards the driver's seat.
"Go."
One word.
That was the signal for them to go on their own destined places.
Reis and Aoi walked towards the car in front, while Kane and Jill both went to their separate motorcycles. Jill hid the fact that he's delighted.
It was a Triumph Speed Triple.
He wanted to drive this motorcycle on its full speed, but he knew he can't. He can't do anything but sigh as he just secretly caressed it. Kane saw this but he just shook his head and rode on his own motorcycle. It was of the same model.
Meanwhile, the three others, Chess, Peterson and Syn, also gone to their assigned car, which was the black car at the back.
Peterson was just about to pull the door on the back when Syn overtook. He just blinked and the back seat was already taken.
He wanted to ride at the back, with Chess, so he could just easily jump if the plan to trick Syn failed, but now, he couldn't do it anymore. He looked at Chess who just chuckled at Syn's action. Chess then looked at him as he scratched his nape.
"Uhm… I don't know how to drive." He said.
Peterson started to make a new plan.
The other person is a sleepyhead. If anything, he'd just drive the car to somewhere and then leave it behind, together with the sleeping Syn.
It was easier this way.
"Its okay, I'll drive." He said.
Chess nodded at him before riding into the passenger seat. Peterson went to the driver's seat with a hidden grin.
With that, the car in front started to move. Everything followed.
Peterson was anxious. He felt like his plan had already succeeded, especially when he saw Syn from the rearview. The windows are heavily tinted. No one could see from outside, but he can clearly see it from the rearview mirror.
Syn was already sleeping.
He occupied the whole space at the back, lying his back on the leather seat and feet on the tinted window. His position looked somewhat uncomfortable, but it looks like he had no difficulties at all. He looked like he was already sleeping.
Peterson couldn't help but show the grin on his lips.
Chess noticed this. He tilted his head and peeked into Peterson's face.
"What is it?" he asked because Peterson looked really happy.
He wondered why. There wasn't anything funny inside the car. In fact, the place feel cramped. So he wondered why Peterson, who looked anxious and nervous, was grinning.
"No, it's nothing." He answered.
Chess stared for a second more before finally nodding his head.
"Okay, if you say so."
