Chapter 3: My New life

[forks,WA - 2005]

"Theres been a string of animals being killed and strung up but there's been no signs of hunters. Yeah I know just tell your boys to be careful...alright, yeah, talk to you later" a mans voice could be heard from down stairs, sitting at the kitchen table.

"Pops, come on you act like talking down here stops your voice from traveling through the house" I said coming down with my shirt off.

"It's not like I said there was people being hung up trees devin" the man said, looking back at me coming down stairs.

"Yeah now you did and from Bella's face I'm sure she's thinking about it" I said, looking back at Bella who had a sick face and rushing to the bathroom.

"Uhhh hell, I'm sorry Bella...why didn't you tell me she was there" the man said to me, hearing Bella run in the bathroom.

"How was I supposed to know, plus no one told her to watch the thing, I told her it would freak her out for a while" I said loud enough so she could hear.

She rushed back from the bathroom wiping her mouth and looking dead at me while I laughed.

"Your the one who told me to try it out,uhh whatever" she said pushing the laughing me aside or at least trying to.

"Alright alright, that was partly my fault cry baby" I said looking down at her.

"Enough you two, I made breakfast, today's your first day of school, Bella I got something to show you after you eat" our father said.

Coming over to the table I sit and look at the twos Awkward silence.

"Well I'm ready for school, what about you Bella?" I said, pulling them out of this moment.

"Yeah, yeah you going to try out for sports again?" Bella said, coming to the table.

"Don't know, I think I'm done with sports...." i said, cutting the pancake and putting it in my mouth.

"Really? Why 6'6 strong and fast, I'm sure you could take your team..." pops was going to say until hearing the sounds of shouts and engines.

Standing he walks to the door looking out of the blind, he smiled and opened the door. Hearing a mans voice from outside.

"Charlie! Get out here" a man in a wheelchair said, coming beside the orange truck in the drive way.

"Billy, looks like you finally made it over here old man" Charlie said, coming over to give him a hug.

"No too old to kick your ass" billy said, putting his fist up.

Watching belly stand next to me at the door and watch Jacob with his puppy eyes I pushed bella forward, laughing at her pissed face.

"Bella, you remember billy black don't you?" Charlie said, seeing her walk up.

"Hey Bella, been a long time" billy said with a smile.

"Yeah you look great" Bella said looking at the truck.

"You like it?" Billy said.

"Well yeah" Bella said.

"Well it's yours, welcome home Bella" Charlie said, hitting the truck.

"Get out?! Are you serious?" Bella said getting happy.

"I think that's why he said it" I came up behind her laughing.

"Ohhh there he is, how you been Devin" billy said, smiling at me.

Unlike my kind I did not give off cold, my skin was a healthy color and wasn't down right creepy. Meanwhile Bella and Jacob talked I leaned down to hug billy.

"Bella you ready, can't be late for our first day" I said, about to walk to my car.

"I know, want to ride with me?" Bella asked me, looking out the window.

Stopping, looking at Charlie and billy. Who both just nodded and smiled.

"Uhh yeah, I might as well" I said, coming back to the truck.

"Guess I'll see you around" Jacob said getting out the truck.

"Yeah, billy and Charlie thank you" Bella said awkwardly, pushing her hair back.

"Any time, have a good day at school" Charlie and billy said . Looking at her awkwardly smile and laugh.

I sat pulling my hoodie stings, I wore a Burgundy boomer jacket over a black hoodie. Cargo jogger pants and black nikes that looked like 11's fixing my messy bun.
