Mom...

Alexis nervously entered the communication center. She was feeling nervous to talk to her mother because she had basically broken every unspoken rule between her and her mother. Alexis was still a teenager and her mother would expect her to inform her before leaving for some place. But somehow, Alexis was now on another planet.

Melissa had warned her not to use her powers in front of the others but Alexis had made a grand display of her powers to the members of the IGT Fed. And it had been days since she last talked with her mother so, naturally, Alexis was in an uncomfortable situation. She was even scared of getting scolded by her mother and getting accused of running away from home.

Alexis gave the cell phone number of Melissa to the staff. That staff connected to the Earth base who in turn connected with Melissa. Then they allowed the mother and daughter to talk.

"Mom…"

Melissa asked in a cracked up voice, "Lexi? Is… is this really you?"
