The Journey

Meanwhile, in the Red Kingdom, Sek's wife entered his chambers and bowed her head. Sek didn't treat anyone with love anymore and even the queen had to act like one of his mere subjects. She stayed in a chamber adjacent to his and didn't come into his presence without him asking for her. She was there to fulfill her wifely duties and nothing more and he'd wanted her not to speak unlessspoken to.

Queen Bredana who had a golden scarf over her face approached where Sek stood, near the window and cleared her throat subtly.

"My king…" she said in a low tone. "May you live long."

Sek didn't turn around or even acknowledge her greeting but he'd heard her. He waited for what she was about to say to him when he suddenly remembered that he'd been the one that had summoned her.

"You asked for-"

"Yes…" Sek said.

"The man that you recommended to me is keeping me waiting, Bredana," Sek said. "Who keeps a king waiting?" he asked with a frown on his face.
