They rode in silence with Ruby's hand permanently in Seth's. He was deep in thoughts and Ruby wondered why but she did not utter a word so as not to disturb him from what he was thinking about. However, she made a mental note to ask him about it when they got to the Red Palace.

The carriage that carried Seth and Ruby got to the palace and it stopped directly at the bottom of the stairs that led to the entrance of the main palace building.
