Lisa could hear from afar the familiar buzzing sound.
She caught a glimpse of something slowly resurfacing from within the dark, coming from the next building's rooftop.
Lisa smiles slyly at the silly face before her eyes and speaks casually, "My guardian deity is back. Shouldn't you run away before they arrive here?"
Johnny's empty eye-sockets twitch. It takes a while for the news to be digested by him. Once it descended inside his muddleheaded brain, his body stiffened, and Johnny hastily put his head back on his neck.
What? Those annoying flies had returned?! How come?! He only spent ten minutes speaking with his beauty, and those troublesome little things had to come back to disturb their two-person(ghost) world!
Johnny turns around in vigilance. Where are they? Johnny's head jumbles up and down, searching for his nemesis. Then, he sees something emerge from within the deep darkness of the night. As expected, a group of will-o-the-wisps is slowly approaching them.
The buzzing sound intensified as they accelerated faster.
"Shit. That damn flies...!" Johnny curses as he flees from the scene.
His fleeting back appeared funny because he needed to run away with his head tucked in his armpit, and without its head shouting the correct direction for the body to follow, Johnny had slammed into a wall or two when he hurriedly fled.
Damn wall!
Innocent wall: ... (It also wants to refute, pushing the blame on the ghost who did not use his eyes correctly, but seeing that it indeed had no eyes and also no head, the wall silently retreats.)
Yeah, yeah, he's a ghost. How can he crash into the wall?
It is due to the exceptional magnetic field on this rooftop, and the dark energy up here is far denser than in any place in this college. The human who usually cannot see ghosts can see ones as clearly as the day when they go here. Thus, it is no wonder for something within the place to be affected and change its constitution when they are here.
Lisa burst into a laugh. However, she still retains her graceful look despite the amusement she feels.
"Do you still dare to visit me after this?" She asked Johnny in a voice that was not too loud and not too low, enough for Johnny to hear it. Her tone, however, filled with a hint of teasing.
Johnny eagerly shouted back, "Yes!". His enthusiastic answer makes Lisa laugh again. "I'll come back soon!"
"What a fool." Lisa shakes her head.
The only reason those will-o-the-wisps managed to attack and hurt him was because of Lisa. He should know this unless he is an idiot.
Johnny, by any means, is not a low-level ghost. His strength must be on par with her or maybe even higher. A bunch of will-o-the-wisps is nothing compared to him. They couldn't possibly hurt him if not because Lisa infused some of her dark energy into their fires. That dumb ghost should have already realized this, but he still dares to approach her regardless of the consequence.
Amused by his tenacious spirit, Lisa asked her companion to leave her alone for a while, giving him the chance to approach her.
She wanted to know the reason for his relentless pursuit and stalking.
Does he say that he wants to become friends with her? No ghost wishes to befriend her without reason. They ought to get something from this relationship. Their target is either the Master or her power. And that Johnny is not as silly as his appearance suggests. His malicious intent is crystal clear for all to see.
Lisa shakes her head again.
Whatever. None of that was Lisa's concern. It takes two people to tango. Since she is bored, she will accompany him for a while.
Her terrible mood from before had gone, and she felt better. So, she greets her friends with an ear-to-ear smile and asks them to accompany her somewhere.
The night is still young.
