A girl was running away from a big group of Killer Ant who suddenly appeared and the girl had no choice other than to run away.

The reason?

She didn't know (she knows, but she was scared) how to fight with big size insects and she has a little phobia because of a not so pleasant memory. In that memory a Goliath Tarantula landed on her head and walked around for a few moments until someone removed it from her body.

By removing, it means hitting her with something big to get the tarantula out of Riku's body and killing it with a blunt object.

Goliath Tarantulas are too big to decide to kill them with a stomp.

From that moment Riku was always cautious with anything that stung or bit her.

So when she saw the size and number of Killer Ant she was frightened. When Riku got up the courage she fought off the monsters achieving several casualties, but when she felt one of these ants crawl up her arm her little trauma returned and she started to run.

She had studied and read about the attack patterns and behavior of the dungeon monsters, however apparently Riku forgot that just reading doesn't offer the ability to fight.

In a rush of anger from her fear, Riku turned around and started swinging her sword at the Killer Ant.

Riku's stats had already been updated since the Hostess of Fertility incident, but she still didn't know how to fight against big ants.

It had been a week since that incident, so if Riku got out of the dungeon, which she would do because she decided to, she would ask Loki to update her status again.

Riku had forgotten that a status update was necessary. This caused her to gain the experience of about a month or so and now she would gain the experience of a week.

The Killer Ant rushed at Riku, however she was already attacking them before they could respond.

With her speed Riku cut several ants in half, as she saw more coming from her left Riku pulled a knife from her waist and used it in her counterattack.

The monsters were much bigger than the ants, but even so the size of the Killer Ant did not exceed Riku's waist, so she had to make low swings while keeping her balance.

"Another?" Loki raised an eyebrow "A week ago you came to update your status"

"I've only updated my status twice" Riku mentioned remembering that detail "When I found out it was updated and a week ago.... Loki-sama"

"Perfect!" Loki exclaimed excitedly "Let's update your status dear Riku!"

Riku began to watch in horror as she could be beaten for a simple misunderstanding by a head-crazy girl and this time in the place where she thought she was safe.

Ais raised her rapier and jumped.

"ATARAXIA!"

Ais's wind suddenly disappeared as she approached Riku causing the blonde to lose the force behind the attack. Riku looking at this jumped with her arms outstretched and placed them on the stomach of Ais who was still puzzled.

Ais had her clothes destroyed in the stomach area. She got up from the ground feeling the pain in her and contemplated the area of the explosion.

On the other side, Riku was on the ground breathing heavily with tears in her eyes. Riku's hands were bleeding from her palms and her strength was gone. The magic used was far greater than Riku could use.

Ais glimpsed what she did and her eyes widened as she learned what she had provoked. She took out past anger on someone who didn't deserve it and left her in a pitiful state.

The blonde started to run towards Riku, however, someone stood in her way without letting her advance. This person was protecting the little girl.

"What the fuck did you do?"

"Bete..."

The werewolf and the blonde looked into each other's eyes. One was protecting the girl on the ground and the other was looking to make amends for her mistake, however to the wolf's eye Ais was a hunter who was going to finish off her prey.

"What did you do to the rabbit?"

"I... I was wrong"

"Complete bullshit" Bete growled defensively "She's on the floor crying. That weakling hasn't cried since she came to the Familia, what the fuck did you do to her?"

"No..." Ais suddenly panicked "I was wrong"

"How the fuck do you fuck up a stupid fight, answer me?!"

"I-I..." Ais didn't know what to answer.

"You just almost killed a weakling level 1" Bete pointed at Riku "What the fuck is going through your head to think that using magic on her is okay? If that attack went to her head, she would die"

"..."

"You won't say anything? Will I have to force you to talk?" Bete stepped forward as Ais was increasingly overwhelmed, at the werewolf's advance, Ais took a step back causing more tension in the place.

"What's going on here?"

Bete and Ais looked at the source of the voice and beheld Riveria in her full glory as Familia Captain.

The noble elf watched the two level three face each other, but as she observed who was behind Bete on the ground her eyes widened in horror at the condition that person was in.

"Riku!" Riveria exclaimed upon seeing her seriously injured "What happened here?!"

"She" Bete spoke without holding back "When I arrived Ais was running to the rabbit who was crying on the floor"

"That's not true!" Ais lost a little of her sanity "I-I was about to help her"

"Of course" Bete said sarcastically "I felt your wind outside the training room, tch, and here I thought I enjoyed teasing the weak and along come you to do something like this"

"Enough you two!" Riveria spoke with annoyance and looked at the werewolf "Bete, take Riku to the infirmary NOW"

"Hm"

Without replying to Riveria's words Bete lifted Riku who shuddered at the werewolf's touch. Riku was still moaning in pain as she left her body at Bete's disposal with fear inside her.

Bete may suck at helping others, but at this moment Riku fully trusted him to carry her safely away from Ais who was still dumbfounded by her emotional outburst.

As Bete left the training room, Riveria looked at the only person left "Now tell me, why?"

"I don't... I don't know"

"Ais, we've already discussed about this in the past" Riveria had no sympathy for the blonde "What was the reason you attacked Riku? That girl has a talent for not creating trouble with others, but I don't understand why with you if something like this happened"

"..." Ais looked at Riveria, but this time Riveria's eyes were not soft as Ais looked at them. She understood that this was serious and ducked her head "H-Her... her magic"

"What was wrong with her magic?"

"I-It was like her's..." Ais finished with a mumble and Riveria pondered Ais' words so her eyes opened as she understood the reason for Ais' outburst.

"Do you still have a grudge against her?" without raising her head, Ais only nodded and dropped the sword by letting it fall to the ground.

When Ais joined the Loki Familia her only goal was to become stronger and stronger, going to the point of breaking her weapons and destroying her body without paying attention to the consequences of what she was doing.

The moment Ais went up to level 2 she understood that she was no longer alone and had more people to help her on her way. This made Ais open up to others, however there were still more problems to solve.

The Dark Era was a time when Evilus terrorized Orario. This radical group of Familias caused chaos and destruction everywhere with the sole purpose of killing everyone on Orario and spreading chaos throughout the world.

The situation was under control with the efforts of the adventurers, but in a moment two individuals appeared and caused the most destruction.

The woman had an encounter with Ais and she was ridiculed by the woman, who said that Ais was loud, as well as annoying and weak.

This annoyed Ais, but she could do nothing but watch the people fighting against the woman, yet Ais recalled the magic with which she was knocked down countless times.

When Riku used her magic to defend herself from Ais her subconscious recognized that spell and brought that anger from the past, causing it to be released in Riku who could not defend herself from Ais.

Ais confronted her, however, she went further by using Ariel'. The moment Riku undid Ais's magic she confirmed it, but after that she received a big sound hit to her stomach.

Riku was left on the ground and Ais was stunned by what she had done.

She hurt someone innocent who was part of her Familia.

"I'll go check on Riku. I want you to clean this place up and go find Loki and tell her what you've done. I've forgiven your behavior on multiple occasions, but this... this one was too much to forgive you for. Tomorrow you will apologize to her and I don't want you to be late"

Riveria didn't wait for an answer from Ais and rushed off to the infirmary to check on Riku. She noticed the tremor in the girl when Bete held her, so she probably recovered some of the trauma she told her about.

Ais looked at Riveria without emotion. When it was all over, she understood that she had hurt someone and had to fix her problem without someone else's help.

The blonde walked to a door in the training room and pulled out a broom. She held it in her hands and began sweeping up the debris left by the sound explosion.

On the other side, Bete was sitting near the bed where Riku was. The girl had fallen into unconsciousness in Bete's arms and Bete grunted as he noticed that he had to take care of her until Riveria arrived.

What Bete didn't know was that she had already grown fond of Riku in her own way.

When Riku arrived Bete thought of her as just another nuisance in the crowd, however Bete's insults had another meaning.

Bete did not want to see people die in vain. So when Riku proved to be able to grow up, he accepted her as a member of the Familia because he understood that she would grow up much stronger than the others.

When Bete noticed Riveria arrive at the infirmary he got up from his seat and was about to leave, however, a hand on his shoulder stopped him and Bete looked at Riveria who had an exasperated look on her face.

Bete grunted and set about obeying Riveria's silent order to help heal Riku. Helping a member of the Familia was still a job Bete would never stop doing.

For the days ahead there were many things to discuss and resolve.
