Cassie kept her watch on the Schmidt house until just before it was time to go to karate class. She took off early, so she could park at the office and walk because she didn't want to risk Tricia recognizing the van. When she arrived at the karate studio parking lot, she walked over to Eryn's truck and got inside.
Eryn was dressed in black yoga pants and a pink fitted t-shirt. Her freshly curled blonde mane draped lazily down her back, and her makeup was flawless.
"Don't you look lovely?" Cassie giggled.
"I'm so nervous." Eryn's face flushed, and she looked nauseous.
"I have something to help distract you. It's in the van. You'll have to drive because I parked at the office."
They pulled up to the van, and Cassie jumped out and went to retrieve her puppy. She stuffed him under her hoodie and climbed back into the truck. Curious, the little guy poked his face out through the neckline and looked around.
