The General stopped in his steps and frowned at the chief. Why would he make such jokes? Tarot was a name that was never to be mentioned just like that.

It wasn't like the king had restricted anyone from speaking of him. It was just that Tarot had recked too much havoc in the past. Mentioning his name now was like a curse.

"Chief Chang, what are you saying?" The General was getting angry but anxious as well. Even he had never mentioned that name since the last rebellion.

The chief stood to his feet and his expression was that of a nervous child. "General Zu, I know you don't believe me but after I refused to open my doors to the rebels, Tarot came here himself. He asked me to join his course and fight against the clan. This was the exact same reason why I decided to keep my doors locked for days and pretend that I'm unavailable."

General Zu was starting to believe him because he knew that chief Chang had no reason to lie to him but wasn't this information too late?
